I wonder if all of those celebrating with steaks and running through the streets would be doing the same thing if an elderly lost woman was killed not knowing Christ. God either sees you as a child of His, or not. We put the "badder" moniker on people, and rejoice accordingly.

Am I thrilled that the top terrorist in Iraq is out of commission? You betcha.

Am I thrilled that he's going to spend eternity in hell? No, though I recognize that he deserves it. There is no injustice involved.

What in the world are we supposed to do? Have a candlelight vigil for this terrorist maniac?

I pray for the families of all the many victims he blew apart with bombs and beheaded. I do pray his family members will come to know the true God and be freed from the bondage and delusion of islam and allah.

Think of it this way: this evil man's death will prevent the deaths of other lost people.

Hardly. Are we supposed to celebrate, be overjoyed and have special steak dinners because of it?

webdog, perhaps you would like to see video tapings of some of his beheadings and listen to the screams and gurgles as he sawed off his bound victim's heads. Send me a PM and I'll send you some links to them. It may give you an up close and personal perspective of just how evil this man was. I rejoice that he is gone and am celebrating with a steak and do not feel guilty about that in the least, as I'm sure many people celebrated when Hitler met his demise.

You should have bought an extra dozen eggs to use to enlighten these muslims as to how we feel about the death of their "hero."

Do you believe everything you read, or just the stuff you agree with? You know, I like to watch the news every morning, and this is the first time I have heard of Zarqawi's demise. I think I may remember a time or two where they THOUGHT they MAY have gotten him. (And it's Fox News even) If anyone would want to make fools of themselves over and over again, wouldn't it be them? ;)

Anyway, sorry you feel like you have to rain on the parade, so let me grab my umbrella and move along then. Yeeeee haaaaaaaaa!!!!!!

I'm just happy about this whole thing. Triumph over evil is not something I'm ever going to feel bad about.

I know it's not exactly the same, but did the Israelites sin whenever they celebrated God's decimation of the Egyptian army in the Sea? Did they sin when they broke out instruments and danced?

If that old lady had bombed a wedding, yup. I'd be happy.

    That's purdy funny.

Mean & juvinile, right up my alley.

Sending someone to meet their maker is a very serious matter. I don't wish it upon anyone, save those with utter disregard for life. Like zarquari.

You don't celebrate the death of a mad dog. You just remove it so it can't hurt anyone else. That's what our military did.

The good part is that this guy was the leader of the majority of the foreign terrorists who moved in after Saddam was overthrown. Intelligence says about 10% of the insurrection was his doing.

If we have any luck, the house will yeild computer disks and records that help dismantle that ouitfit.

Congrats to our fighting men and women.

    A sudden attack of candor...

Bush apparently ad-libbed a bit on Thursday:

"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush said on Thursday the killing of al Qaeda's leader in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, offers a chance to "turn the tide" in the war but he urged patience and predicted more violence to come."
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/08/AR2006060800810.html

For a long time, he's been saying the tide is going our way. Betcha he's going to get an earful from Rove over this.

I am reminded of how the Bible describes the death of King Jehoram: "he passed away, to no one's regret".
