Trump’s comments followed a wave of censorship on Facebook and Instagram. Prominent independent media figures and supporters of the president were banned, including YouTube star Paul Joseph Watson and conservative activist Laura Loomer.

Facebook also said that it would ban any account that posted links to Alex Jones’ Infowars too often — a new censorship formula that targets not only independent media outlets like Infowars, but its readers and supporters as well.

While Facebook included a token ban on one far-left figure, Louis Farrakhan, calls for violence from “Antifa” activists and far-left figures are still widespread on the platform.

The President’s son, Donald Trump Jr., also commented on the bans.

“The purposeful & calculated silencing of conservatives by Facebook & the rest of the Big Tech monopoly men should terrify everyone,” Trump Jr. wrote on Twitter. “It appears they’re taking their censorship campaign to the next level.”

“Ask yourself, how long before they come to purge you? We must fight back.”

Why isn't there a conservative owned social media site to compete with Facebook?

And another question, why was Alex Jones banned? And Farrakhan who is a personal friend of President Obama?

And that's what I've said for a long time. If there isn't one actions need to take place to get one on the go and support it and GET OFF Facebook. Their actions are showing they're not going to be impartial in how they treat all sides so they need to face the reality of a great drop off on their site. Not doing so will keep them laughing at people of a different view and they're probably secretly wondering the lack of vision that conservatives type have not to create their own platforms.

I read that young people do not use Facebook. I have an account just to have access but I never post. Facebook asks people to invest money and then buries their account. Twitter also dislikes opinions. I have an account but seldom use it.

Trump is aware of the issue but has not done anything. Muslim jihadists have demanded that Mastercard and banks like Chase close accounts of people who have said things such as Muhammad married a six-year old girl.

Good idea, and same for Twitter and Instagram. Perhaps something unpopular already exists? Something akin to the search engine DuckDuckGo that does not collect personal data is needed.

Such would really take off with Trump's endorsement and switch. And someone could make a bundle.

However, until the FBI, IRS, DOJ, and other agencies are finally reigned in, the likelihood of deep state interference still looms large.

Right and also right - it would be a goldmine.
