because I was not attracted to, nor would I have chosen to marry a black woman?
(I use the past tense as a married man.)

As you state the issue, no you are not bigoted. Not being attracted to is not bigotry in and of iteslf.
The question I thought of was:
If you had been attracted to, fallen in love with a woman but refused to marry her simply because she was of another race ... that might well show bigotry.
I believe there are both bigoted reasons here and also there are reasons that are not bigoted for deciding not to marry a person ... male/female ... of another race.
Life is seldom as simply as your question, at least to me, implies or assumes. [/
Crabby, your last sentence brings to mind all your questions to others, such as:
1 Why do you hate poor people?
2 Why do you want to deny insurance to the UN-insured?
3 Why do you want to starve children?
4 Yada, yada, yada
So, with this in mind, "Physician heal thyself!"

NO !!!
Bigot: a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially: one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance
prejudices: an irrational attitude of hostility directed against an individual, a group, a race, or their supposed characteristics
You wanted preferences in who you would marry. Be it a Christian, shorter than you, similar education as you, ect.
This does not mean you hate non-baptists, tall women or women with a 3rd grade education.
In that case, since you are not attacted to men, that means you hate men.
The problem is that we often do not properly undestand the meaning of words when we use them.
I just glanced at the OP and thought it said "Am I bigfoot?"
wouldn't that just be to what was a preference for us? that a Bigot would be one who would say that its wrong for ANY white person to marry a black one?
Hmmm, why do you not stay on the subject and respond to the OP. What is your opinion on the question in the OP?

You've probably got those up there where you live. Ever seen one?
Not up here, but I've seen a few on this board.
You may have a point. :laugh:Methinks you could be confusing bighead with bigfoot.
Having said that, it is disguisting to remember in the 50s and 60s, growing up in Mississippi listening to pastors giving sermons about unequally yoked based on physical appearance, such as a black white couple. One had to have much hatred in their heart to believe that, and wonder where their eternal destiny is as we speak?
