Of course you are correct, but there is plenty of smearing on both sides.

I am adamant about my KJVO convictions, but I refuse to break fellowship over it. I will boldly defend the KJV and my position, yet I feel no honor in defending myself.

There was another Smith who believed in myth...his name was Joseph Smith and he founded the Mormon mythology...

I didn't realize that there was a King James version of the book of Mormon.

If you like, we could get into the "really edifying" debate about which side has more Whackos, liberals, and heretics. (Count me out. I just now got the smell of dead horse off of my boots.)

Funny thing is Lacy is that I have a book written by a Mormon who is defending only using the KJV with Smith's books.

Why the King James Version by J. Reuben Clark Jr

Don’t take my word for it look it up yourself.

I think it would be fun to debate which side: KJVO or non-KJVO has more liberals, whacko, etc... Remember that just because one is a social conservative does not mean that one is a theological conservative [IMG] Oh that’s right we did have that discussion a while back. I think it’s sad how so many KJVO are social conservatives and so liberal in their theology when it comes to the requirements of doctrines, telling the whole truth(Ruckman, Riplinger, Waite, Gipp, etc…), and standing up against heretics like Ruckman.

What is a doctrine that has no scripture to support it? What would you call a person who stands on a doctrine with no scripture to support it?

The KJVO myth is false because there is no scripture to justify it and no historical and/or biblical evidence that proves it. KJVOist have lost the debate before it even begins because of this fact. Outside of personal preference a KJVO can not defend KJVOism. They always claim to defend the KJV when KJVOism comes under fire but in fact they are defending a myth and not the KJV. The KJV destroys the KJVO myth and KJVOist refuse to see it.

Sorry if this sounds hard but it’s the truth.

    In Christ,

    David J

    I have a question...

    Luke 12:11-12
11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
    Luke 21:12-15
12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

    Matthew 10:19-20
19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

    Mark 13:11
11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

That said, my question is this: History attests to William Tyndale being martyred for the word of God and his part in translating it into English. We have the record of his last words as he was murdered:
Was this Tyndale speaking, or the Holy Spirit?

Why do you ask and what does it matter? The prayer was answered.

I'm soliciting opinion. Is that your final answer?

Actually, it's impossible to know, as we're not privy to Tyndale's thoughts at the time, nor has the Holy Spirit yet chosen to tell us.

My OPINION leans toward that he was praying on his own, as he began, "Oh Lord"...but the HS can lead any of us in prayer at any time, so nothing is set in stone.

Tyndale as taught by the indwelling Holy Spirit.

But the statement does appear to be in the form of a prayer rather than an answer to accusers.

Yup. That's the one. (I'm the one on the middle. The nice one who only headbutts but doesn't bite or use a whip.)

The middle guy seems to be the only one talking to the dead horse.
    Make your own conclusions! ;)

For the first time in my life, my wit has completely failed me. I have absolutely no answer. I have just sat here for some time soaking it all in. That little middle horse headbutter never shuts up. He just butts and talks and butts and talks.

My friend jim is very astute.
