That's where I'm hoping pressure from other states will force his hand. Governors are not going to want their state to be dead last. That said, a California vendor of mine just announced reopening today. Be curious how this plays out in the next few days.

Tonight's NBC news was attacking this strongly. Interviewed various doctors and nurses. Was portraying this as selfish demands and foolhardy Republican govenors.

They want the economy destroyed so they can win the election

I’m glad to see it starting to open up as long as it done very responsibly. There are going to be some ups & downs and trial & error. The Left will feed off any errors that we make and any new surges will be blamed on Trump and the Republicans. In the meantime, it will be a quite blessing if we’ve bought ourselves enough time that we’ve ended up giving ourselves some greatly improved treatments because opening up will unavoidably result in more infects which we will have to carefully manage and sometimes close areas back down which will be worth every dime to save countless lives from unnecessarily being taken from this deadly and dangerous virus. Still, I find it odd how some seem so enthusiastic about opening up and so wrapped up in hyper political conspiracies that they fail to even talk about the necessity to open up slowly and cautiously as if they do not respect the potential this virus has to kill and do not value the lives of especially our elderly and sick. One track disturbed minds...

Better than becoming a geriatric abortion via COVID-19. Some don’t seem to care what happens to the older population but our national plan involves taking huge steps to guard against this virus clearing out our nursing homes.

Didn't realize this state never shutdown.

Exclusive – South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem on Beating Coronavirus Without Lockdown: ‘We’re Much Better on Offense’

‘I’m not one who believes in a one-size-fits-all approach’

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, a Republican and the governor of one of just a handful of states that has not issued a statewide lockdown order, told Breitbart News exclusively on Wednesday her state is winning the war against the coronavirus without the extreme and draconian measures some other states have implemented.

Oh, look, a governor who doesn’t see considering the rights of citizens above her paygrade.

From the article:

“For me personally, I took an oath to uphold our state Constitution. I took an oath when I was in Congress to uphold the United States Constitution. So I believe in people’s freedoms and liberties and I always balance that with every decision that I make as governor. I get overly concerned with leaders who take too much power in a time of crisis because I think that’s how we directly lose our country someday by leaders overstepping their proper role.”

And I see the left's drool dripping from their fangs at the prospect of a massive re-occurrence of 19 and/or a major economic shutdown prior to Nov!!
May God bring to rest 10 fold on their shoulders that which they have tried to do to America!

What a great story on Georgia reopening. Laura Ingraham has been so good this past month. Props to her. God bless this shop owner, Taurean Overall. Lines to get in. Finally getting is life and livelihood back. Makes a very good case on why he should be able to do this. Very happy for him.

Georgia barber pushes back at Al Sharpton and critics who think businesses shouldn't reopen yet

Meanwhile:

Virginia Could Take 2 Years To Allow Businesses To Reopen, Governor’s Adviser Says
My wife teaches at a private christian school in VA, some parents have lost jobs and therefore some cant pay tuition, the school did get the government payroll protection plan, but 2 years may be too long for private schools to remain in business. Her school has been open since 1937. (Hampton Christian Schools) One of the reason parents send kids to the school is the school activities, (besides which is the christian atmosphere), which of course can not happen under lockdown. Governor Northam, someone I did not vote for and disliked, seems to want to play this tough lockdown of which VA has only had 400 deaths, and the election is not until 2021.

If you dont want to go to the barber shop - dont go! its that simple

Some things are so obvious, one wonders at the bristling attitude of people like Sharpton!!

‘Course we KNOW that the left is much more interested in control than safety!?!?!?

May God cause to rest on their shoulders 10 x what they are attempting to force on America!!

Sorry, but it doesn't work that way, this is a team effort, besides a patriotic duty to follow our national plan and a moral responsibility to protect others, we either work together to slow spread so that we can deal with it or we fail together.

It actually does work that way and always has. Those at risk (age/medical conditions) need to quarantine themselves a little longer. The rest need to be given their livelihoods back.

The spread has already been slowed drastically, and hospitals are no longer in danger of being overrun, even in NY. The goal now has changed to save every possible life, which is not feasible. Celebrities and the rich are asking the middle class to give up their livelihoods. That was never the initial goal. That's not compatible with biblical morality. We don't destroy Peter to save Paul.

If saving hospitals is no longer the focus, then we can never open. There will always be casualties from infectious diseases.

You're right, when it comes to selfish people who panic about value of money over lives.

Yep, push grandma off the cliff if you must to get your life back, surely you have sacrificed enough to earn that right. Got it.

Save me the economic panic excuses. Anyone with a brain knows that we need to reopen responsibly or could still be overrun. I know its hard for you to consider 2 premises at the same time to draw your conclusions though....

#1 This isn't a typical disease. #2 Save me your slippery slope analysis, I have other premises to consider.

It's about livelihood not money. The rich don't have to worry about livelihood, and most rich people are decent enough to realize this. Guys like you sit back like cowards with no skin in the game whatsoever.

And grandma doesn't want her kid's lives destroyed so she can be out and about. She doesn't mind a little extra quarantine while the economy opens up because she loves her grand children. You on the other hand must hate all the grandchildren of the world. But I guess for a political gain, you're willing to risk them. Bam!
