Amy Coney Barrett a mistake?

Trump has had several events with Latinos lately which I suspect may be leading up to a Barbara Lagoa nomination.

However, ... if I had to bet I'd have to guess Barrett...

Edit: Ehh, they are starting to say Barrett is a done deal...
Why? If trump can pick up more votes from the Cuban and Latino community??? Makes no sense.

The Left is in a precarious position. One the one hand they must try and discredit and destroy Amy Coney Barrett. It is what they do. On the other hand the only thing they have on her is her religious views. They will have to paint her as an extremist. That means they will be attacking religion directly. You can bet your bottom dollar this sends a chill up Biden's spine. The smart move will be for them to cut their loses. Put up a spirited opposition but stay away from anything to do with religion. Let it go. Concentrate on the election and chalk up Trump's SCOTUS nominee as a loss leader. In the end they will be unable to resist their own proclivities. They will like a moth drawn to the flame.

She is a member of an extremest catholic group. Doesn’t that concern you?

Not one bit, your accusation is 'just plain gross.'
Anti-Catholic attacks on Amy Coney Barrett will help get Trump re-elected | Cupp
When the left and members of the media attempt to otherize a conservative Catholic woman this way, it only affirms what Trump has been selling to his supporters for four years: that Democrats are out to get them, that feminism only defends “some” women, that he is the only protector of American Christianity, and that the media is fake news. In an election year where turnout could be consequential down to the tens of voters, that could help mobilize enough of the evangelicals, suburban women and Republicans who’d been drifting away from Trump right back into his arms.

It’s also just gross. That in 2020 Catholics are still fair game for this kind of bigotry is shameful. We have to be better than this — but then, these days that often seems like too much to ask.

Are you suggesting that I do! Those are fighting words.

All your posts are fighting words. You don' know the first thing about ACB's religious affiliations. And you refuse to post yours.

Your a liar.... and you just made an enemy.

And I don't care if you consider me your enemy. I'm not yours (never have been), just someone telling you the truth.

I used to be a part of the Roman Catholic Charismatic movement when I came to faith in Christ in 1979. I went to St. Antoninus Church in Newark. The Charismatic movement is wrong and misguided, but I don't believe it is a disqualification for the high court. Are Coney-Barret's religious views going to influence how she rules on the ObamaCare mandate?

I knew a charasmatic catholic once. They're much more evangelical than most catholics, at least he was.

Dig deeper... and yes I believe her religious views will influence her decisions on many cases. Just having a gaggle of Catholics will influence decisions if truth be told

And before you raise the mantle of Biden being a Catholic, he is one in name only not practice. Catholics as you recall are opposed to abortion. It is a mortal sin if you can remember that far back. So will that influence ACB; you bet it will.

I hope so. It, at the very least, will free her up to determine if the constitution mandates it.
