So many times as we get older we remember things when were we younger and can reflect on a past memory in our lives and this is one of them... When was a young man, my Dad a Baptist Christian, had his head under the hood of his 55 Chevy and was working on his car... I also was there watching him... Out the corner of both our eyes we saw two young men dressed in black and white, ride up on bicycles, park them by the curb and approach... Dad keep working and paid them no never mind, until the spokesman of the two cleared his throat... Then Dad responded, can I help you?... The spokesman of the group said... Sir if you were to die tonight, do you know where you are going?... Dad thought for minute and said I will answer your question if you answer mine?... To this day I don't remember what the question was but I remember the response... The spokesman of the group and his friend got very uncomfortable and the spokesman said, sir I'm not educated enough to answer that question but I will go and bring back another Elder, who will answer your question... Then Dad said then you two just run along and bring him back, I'll be waiting... They never came back and the Elder never showed up... Brother Glen:)

...well, that sucks. Why even tell the tale? :)

If they were so interested in conversion, why not defend what you believe?... They didn't return because they wouldn't and couldn't... It wasn't the outcome you expected... Was it?... Brother Glen:)

Probably something along the lines of "Could God lift an un-liftable rock?'

Lol, or what happens if something that can’t be stopped hits something that can’t be moved? :)

Sad part is most Christians are not equipped to be good witnesses to Mormons. The late Pastor John Smith had a ministry to Mormons, exposing their errors etc. BUT he told his own denomination's members to not talk to the missionaries, knowing that more of them would be converted to Mormonism than the other way around.
Every Christian should know the basics and their Bible. https://snowfar4.wixsite.com/mormonconfusion/about

Thank you, that sounds like my own experiences, though sometimes I go through a few 'elders' before they do not come back, though I do not desire them to leave, having much to share, and ask of them. I always find I learn a bit more when I spend time with them about what they believe in practice.

The Tanners Lighthouse Ministry to Mormons has a long and effective outreach and equips Christians with ways to witness to these eager 'elder's' calling at your door. My wife and I always welcome then (elders) in and them my wife begins preparing sandwiches for them. They always seem hungry. Not sure how well the local LDS churches help these guys stay nourished.
