An Ethical Question

I just think sometimes we get so wrapped up in "Abstaining from the absence of evil" and messing up our witness that we turn our backs on those who need us most. If I could walk in a bar today and lead someone to Jesus would I do it? In a heartbeat. My rep isn't so important to me that I would turn my back on that chance. Maybe someone is in that casino gambling because they are filling a void when all they need is Jesus. Does anyone see my point?
I see your point and I believe that it is a valid point so long as it is the Holy Spirit leading you into the bar rather than anything else.

Hey CBTS,
I dont post a lot and your response is one of the reasons why. Ive read many of your posts and you seem to be able to express yourself, (forcably sometimes). I consider your icons condensending and quite snobbish. If you got a problem with my post state it!

Thank you for sharing your opinion with me.

Which post is it that you think I might have a problem with?

OK lets think about the flip side. If I see somebody from my church go into one of those restaurants - what should I think of that person?

Sounds good to me!

Excellent question; remember we don't live in a vaccuum!

You should think nothing. It's not your business to worry about it. If it bothers you that bad just pray about it.
Good answer--for perfect people, but we aren't perfect, so we are going to draw SOME conclusions; rightly or wrongly.

If you are led by God to enter said questionable enterprise, then you have to trust that God will handle any "character" questions that arise from said venture.

'Course you must be sure that it IS God, and not yourself or satan painting an alluring scenario of the results you may be expecting!
