The history of “ancientry”
Chapter 1
Geneses
Work by S.Y. Kharchenko .
In the first two chapters of the first book of the Bible, God, as the Author of the Scriptures, reveals fundamental truths to us. In the prophetic meaning of verses, we are given answers to the most important questions of mankind: “What is the meaning of human life?”, “Why did God create Lucifer?”, “How people who lived before the incarnation of the Son of God and did not have the words of truth could please God and receive eternal safety in Christ?”, “What is God’s purpose in creating the world?” The first chapter of Genesis and the last chapter of the book of Revelation are the first and last chapters in the Bible, and therefore have their own peculiarity. They speak of the creations of God that are not related to our material world.
In the first two chapters of the first book of the Bible, God, as the author of the Scriptures, reveals fundamental truths to us. In the prophetic meaning of verses, we are given answers to the most important questions of mankind: “What is the meaning of human life?”, “Why did God create Lucifer?”, “What is the purpose of God in the creation of the world?”
Jesus said to the Jews opposing Him: “For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.” (John 5:46). Indeed, the Author of the Scriptures by the words of Moses tells us about Christ, about events connected with Him, showing in each prototype new details of the future time. And there is no such chapter whose narrative is not related to Him. We will cover the first chapters of Genesis.
In the first chapter, telling about the origin of the world, Scripture actually shows us the story of the creation of a new heaven and a new earth. The history begins in eternity and ends with eternity.
The final creation of God is not man at all, but Christ and the Church - the temple, not made with hands, which is built in the image and likeness of God. In the book of Revelation, he that sat upon the throne in eternity - God. Starting with the third verse, we are shown all the most important stages of the construction of this temple. He is “an holy Temple in the Lord” (Eph.2:21). In the prophetic meaning of verses, everything that happens is subordinated only to this goal. The creation of the Earth, the Sun, the Universe is of secondary importance and is not even mentioned in the first chapter. These “things were created by him, and for him” for a season and time, as something auxiliary. And as soon as the wife, the bride of the Lamb, passes the test, they “shall perish” (Ps.102:26). The dual nature of this world is not compatible with eternity. The world around us tends to chaos, decay, death, and is characterized by an increase in entropy.
The “six days” of creation take a period of time significantly exceeding 7000 years. But on an eternity scale, this is an infinitesimal quantity. We are witnesses to the “fifth day” of creation, the future Millennium will be the “sixth day” of creation. The “Seventh day” is a prototype of eternity. 6000 years have passed since the creation of Adam, and the most important events will occur over the remaining period of time. All creation time is divided into two main periods of time - preparatory work and direct construction. The death of Jesus the Son of God divides them. Each day of creation is a certain stage in the preparation or construction of this Temple, and the time allocated for each such “day” is different.
On the “third day” of creation, life appeared. On the “fourth day” Lucifer was created and the Son of God was born. In the first chapter, the Scripture speaks about this, talking about the creation of two great lights, in the second chapter there is another type, these are two trees in the middle of the garden. The creation of the Moon, the Sun and stars is out of the question; the Scripture uses them as images.
At the beginning of the “fifth day” the Scripture shows us the first born (firstborns) from “living water”, and at the end of this day speaks of a solemn assembly, where God will bless those gathered. At the end of the “sixth day” the construction of the temple not made by hands will be completed. God will bless Christ and the Church. Eternity will come.
The last verse of the first chapter concludes with the words:
“And the evening and the morning were the sixth day” (Gen.1:31)
The “seventh day” of rest is spoken of in the second chapter. The “six days” of creation and the “seventh day” of rest are a prototype of six thousand years and the Millennium.
But the “seventh day” is also a prototype of eternity. The “seventh day” is absent in the first chapter, and not a word is said about it, thus the Scripture shows that after the “sixth day” eternity will come. Moreover, it has no completion, as the previous “days of creation.” The phrase that defines the time to carry out the planned work: “And the evening and the morning were”, does not limit the “seventh day”. The “seventh day”, having no boundary in time, means eternity. But not the eternal rest, but the eternal service.
The second chapter shows the main and final part of the overall picture of the first chapter, its fragment, in which events occur on a time interval of 7000 years, and therefore we can consider them in more detail. The second chapter is a brief figurative content of the entire Scripture: from Genesis to the Revelation of John. Therefore, if we continue reading the 21st chapter of the book of Revelation after the second chapter with, the context will not be broken, we will see the continuation of the history. In chapter 21, the Scripture figuratively shows us the constructed “holy Temple in the Lord” (Eph. 2:21), and in the next chapter 22 we are shown the ministry of Christ and the Church in eternity. This service will never end, it will be like a source of water of life, the waters of which never run dry. John saw “a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.” (Rev. 22: 1).
Two great lights
Ҧ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.” (Gen.1:14-16)
On the fourth day two great Personalities were set by God “in the firmament of heaven”: the Son of God and Lucifer. The “greater light” is the Son of God, and the “lesser light” is Lucifer. First Lucifer was created, after him the Son of God was born. This sequence is shown in many prototypes. First Cain was born then Abel, first Ishmael then Isaac, first Esau then Jacob.
Two great lights are the cause of the dual nature of everything that exists in the world.
Lucifer was the covering Cherub, fulfilling the functions of steward in the house of God (Gen.15:2). This steward, “a homeborn slave” planned to become like the most High (Is.14:14). But the Scripture, through next type, tells us that the Heir will come from the bosom of the Father (John.1:18). The Lord told Abraham: “This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir” (Gen.15:3,4).
Lucifer, having been filled with unrighteousness, sinned and was expelled “from the midst of the stones of fire” (Ezek.28:16) and settled in high places. God
“brake up for it” His “decreed place, and set bars and doors,
And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed” (Job.38:10,11).
The fall of Lucifer occurred before the creation of the first man, and was predetermined.
Stars “in the firmament of heaven” are created beings, “all ministering spirits” (Heb.1:14). It was they, “the morning stars,” the “sons of God” who watched the creation process and rejoiced (Job.38:7) when the Lord “laid the foundations of the earth” (Job.38:4).
“And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.” (Gen.1:17,18).
The devil was set to rule at night. He lives with his sword and thus serves his brother (Gen. 27:40). His function is to lead a person from the truth, if he loved the untruth. The time will come, and the Lord God will show His power over him, that the name of the Lord Jesus Christ “might be declared throughout all the earth” (Rom. 9:17).
People ask themselves, “Why does Scripture repeat the same thought twice? After all, “to rule over the day and over the night” is the same as “to divide the light from the darkness” they say. Yes it is, if this expression is applied to the Sun and the Moon, as objects in the firmament, then they are right, there is no difference. But if we consider the prophetic meaning of this verse, then the difference is immediately apparent.
