Let me know what you think of these verses and topics. Scriptural replies welcomed :type:

Thats great! Thanks.

Isaiah 55:8-11 ESV
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven
and do not return there but water the earth,
making it bring forth and sprout,
giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

Didn't have time to read it all, but what I skimmed over looked like a good study. I'll try to get back to it. Thanks for sharing.

your composure

It would be a waste of time reading any more Calvinistic falsehoods.

Well Robert my friend what can I say. For you it probably would be a waste of time because you already know that to believe these biblical truths would mean you would have to re-invent yourself and the church you attend as you have already posted that your pastor does not enjoy or teach any of these truths either.
Not everyone will come to a knowledge of the truth. Pastor Strawbridge is a Presbyterian Pastor,so clearly there are things he believes that I do not share with him. Yet clearly this article/study is loaded with verses and good teaching concerning the things of God. Most christians would enjoy learning more about God. But for you ...it is a waste of time, interesting.

You seem to delight in negative posts devoid of scripture, that just accuse others of falsehood. You seem to be progressively losing your composure.

We cannot help you if you decline the verses that can help you.Sorry you have come to this point...what can we do to help?

I enjoy reading the scripture; I just don't apply the Calvinistic spin to them. I let the bible speak for itself. I don't need to filter everything through Calvin.

Okay Robert,it is good to let the bible speak and equally important to "hear" what it says. Many of us hear the same thing being spoken and would like you to enjoy the comfort that the scripture speaks of.
Did you listen to those sermons I posted a few days ago for you?

No, I haven't. I am working a lot of hours presently, and just don't have the time. Also, I would assume the sermons you posted have to do with Calvinism. I don't have time to study the bible on my own and listen to sermons that teach what I consider to be error. If you post any sermons that don't deal with Calvinism, let me know.

the sermons deal with having an outward focus, evangelism.
Do you do a job that allows you to listen as you work?

Technically, I can listen, but I operate a engine lathe, mill and drill press. It would be difficult to concentrate while working. I will try and listen when I am off sometimes.
