When the Russians were in Afghanistan the gorilla warfare terrorized them for years and were never defeated and I'd say these guys are smarter, tougher and better prepared. As per your claim that helping them would make us idiots I would beg to differ.

do you like WASTING our money? WHY should we keep on having to spend BILLIONS on other countries, when our OWN countries are in a HUGE MESS, and need urgent financial input!

Losing ground in the world to communist should be a concern if we don't want it knocking at our door when all the rest have fallen.

DID the USA achieve this when they fought the war in Vietnam? NO! Have they learned from this? NO! The Korean War was the same!

They could not defeat Communism then, and they won't now! Get real.

I may have to see if I can find the video I watched because it looked to me that these guys were into some serious gorilla warfare and weren't going down easy, its been a while since I watched it.
Found it, and it is easy to put yourself in the shoes of these underground Ukrainian patriots that if their government isn't going to stop the invasion of their country will take matters in their own hands.

Did we always lose? - There goes that logic . Like picking out a couple of defeats concludes that we will always lose out. - And who is this "they" if not us, you kind of sound that you're speaking from the other team calling us, they. ...?

They could not defeat Communism then, and they won't now! Get real.

Again, I can think of a few times we defeated our enemies so maybe you should learn to reason with some "real" Critical Thinking Skills.

Fine, but the concerns are not mutually exclusive and the atrocity to come against the Ukrainian people should not be overlooked because of the concerns at home. .
Yes. The Communists in DC are why the Communists in Russia and China have become bold and empowered.

Fooolishness IMO. Russia is a morally better and vastly more Christian nation than the U.S. I won't be raising arms against them in a foreign country.

Are you serious? Communism is marked by atheism and persecution of religion.

You can always buy that one way ticket to your “morally better and vastly more Christian country” if you like.

You might want to change your tagline from “Bible thumpin and gun totin” when you get there or you will experience a little “morally better” retraining in prison.

peace to you

Russia is not Communist. It's a Conservative Authoritarian regime you could call it, or an Oligarchy, but it is no longer Communist in the slightest. It was Communist no doubt for most of your lifetime, but it has drastically changed.

My region of the U.S is morally better and vastly more Christian than Russia.
Russia is morally better and vastly more Christian than current U.S mainstream culture.

-Putin funds the Russian Orthodox Church, he gives 63% of all religious grant money to it.
-Dmitri Medvedev signed abortion bans even more restrictive than the U.S.
-Pat Buchanan has also picked up on this: Pat Buchanan: Russia Is Not the Great Rival – JAMES EDWARDS
-Protecting toddlers from what the U.S is doing to them in public libraries: Russian gay propaganda law - Wikipedia

These are the tip of the iceberg. If you actually do digging, us Christians in the U.S actually have more in common with Russia than mainstream U.S culture.

I would rather have a strong, Christian, Conservative Russian ally than the modern weak ant-Christian, and woke French and German ones we have.

A U.S and Russia alliance would be enough to contain China. There is a reason many of us latched onto Trump when he spoke about how Russia is not our enemy, China is.

If you do not believe the Communist party rules Russia with an iron fist, you are truly misguided to say the least.

For you to praise their heavy handed persecution of certain groups and government funding of religion, again, speaks volumes of your misguided worldview.

Do not believe for an instance your “Bible thumpin gun totin” attitude would be tolerated for a second in Russia.

peace to you

How the Kremlin treats the Orthodox Church is immaterial to me. My concern is how it treats the Evangelical Christian-Baptists. Which is poorly.

Russia saves more children than the U.S does due to its strict abortion bills. FACT
Russia protects children from perverse propaganda while the U.S pushes it on children. FACT
Russia upholds the sanctity of Marriage while the U.S wants marriage of anyone to anyone and anything. FACT

Clearly all the above are evidence of "Iron Fisted Communism".
If you have no problem allying up with Saudi Arabia, UK, France, Germany, Canada but you DO have a problem allying up with Russia then that is hypocritical. Conservatives in the U.S have more in common with Russia than Saudi Arabia.

I am perfectly happy with persecution of certain parties and of state funding of religion.

I agree.
Now compare Russia to Saudi Arabia, and Egypt where Christians are persecuted.
Now compare Russia to Woke Canada where it is now illegal to preach the gospel.
Compare Russia to the UK where the Gospel is silenced.

Russia is far better culturally than many of the nations we consort with even with their persecution of Christians. Almost ALL of our allies persecute Christians. We might as well pick the persecutor that isn't entirely against the Bible.
