I remember an observation made back in the late 70s about the Central American conflicts.
Don't think the peasents don't have legitimate compliants with their governments. Communists can and will expolit any real injustice.

Sure, but we are talking about gay activists being upset because a lesbian police chief resigned. Not a broad political movement to replace the US government.

And I'm speaking about unwarranted police violence. The peasants were ticked off that the Samoza regime stole blankets from the earthquake relief among other things.

Let history show that the overthrowing of the US government to communism began at a small protest of a mayoral press conference in Minneapolis on July 21, 2017
Thanks for the bulletin!Keep us informed of new developments.

She didn't resign, she was asked to resign, and everybody knows what that means. Don't think it's far-fetched at all to thinks some of these protesters could have been part of the rent-a-mob, the same people have popped up at any protest event more than once. This cop, after all, was a diversity hire:

Fast-track training put officer Mohamed Noor on Minneapolis police force

and I hope the city didn't use AA with the new police chief, this person:

Next Minneapolis police chief tasked with changing culture – Twin Cities

but at least he's from the area, not Canada like the lesbian so he may actually understand who he's policing. The mayor is simply awful, her pandering to Muslims went as far as her putting on one of that hijabs. She should have resigned.

I just saw this thread. Sorry I am late.
Living in the Twin Cities metro with many friends in Minneapolis, it's important to note that the Mpls police have been known for having corrupt cops on the force for decades. In the early 70s, police officers were throwing indigenous peoples in the trunk and driving to deserted areas where they beat some to death. In the late 80s I talked with a county coroner from San Jose. When I mentioned Mpls, his first comment was about corrupt cops.
In this latest incident the two police officers had been fast-tracked through academy and both were less than a year on the force.
The protesters were from Black Lives Matter as well as Philando Castile ' s family. Hodges has worked to remove the chief, but doesn't take any responsibility herself. The protesters hold her accountable for not being proactive in overseeing a police force that still struggles with rogue cops. I, personally, have not heard much positive regarding Hodges as she has placated far left progressives with little regard for the Christian community in Minneapolis. For Hodges to now have even the far left calling for her resignation is an interesting development to say the least.
