Ann Coulter - an embarrassment to Republicans and conservatives

http://news.yahoo.com/meghan-mccain...lethal-joke-160927050--abc-news-politics.html

"MSNBC's Martin Bashir suggested that Republican senators need to have a member of their families killed for them to support the Democrats' gun proposals. (Let's start with Meghan McCain!)" the blog said before it was taken down earlier this morning.

Let me start by saying, I don't listen to Ann Coulter. Don't read her books. I don't listen to Rush Limbaugh, or Sean Hannity. I especially don't listen to/watch Bill O'Reilly. Just like they claim about the liberal news media, I prefer to read the news, gather facts, and make decisions for myself.

That said: Really?!? Ms. Coulter should be ashamed of herself. This is why the Republicans are continuously embarrassing themselves. They claim a "higher ground" status than Democrats/liberals, and then make asinine "jokes" that show just how much they're like their counterparts.

I am disgusted.

Yes, she is a shrill, sensationalistic, publicity seeker. I don't want her on my side.

I prefer to read the news, gather facts, and make decisions for myself.

Amen to that!

Do you have any problem with MSNBC's Martin Bashir, who was the one who actually suggested that family members of Republican senators needed to be killed so a political agenda could be advanced? No, of course not. Your fellow lefties can do no wrong. Your ire is reserved exclusively for conservatives like Ann Coulter, who in this context was merely suggesting a first victim if Bashir's hateful idea were to be carried out. But I can understand why you would react like this. Coulter simply put a face on a suggestion of murder. Your side prefers to keep the victims of murder faceless, like the 50 million unborn babies who have been slaughtered since Roe v. Wade. No problem there, but let a conservative respond to a liberal suggestion that people be violently killed by naming a potential victim of the violence, and you're all upset by it. It's people like you who disgust me.

I little reality check there. Thanks!

Don a lefty? That's news to me.
Frankly, I don't read enough posts here to really know that, he just sounded like one in that reply, because that's what liberals always do: get bent out of shape about any little thing a conservative says or does while completely ignoring the genuine abominations their side supports. If that post was an abberation, I apologize for mischaracterizing someone.

I am equally offended by Bashir, and Coulter's comments. They both are corporate sponsored hete mongers that make good money keeping Americans seperated.

ITL, it's voting R 98% of the time that makes you a liberal.

Walguy -- no, you haven't seen enough of my posts. I'll grant you this: I had meant to mention the MSNBC idjit's words, but was rushed at the time and left those out.

Bro Curtis, absolutely correct. MSNBC idjit's words are indicative of everything that's wrong with the liberals, and I wracked my brain trying to figure out why he wasn't taken to task by his own people for making such a statement--until I saw Coulter's statement, and realized they're all just playing for sensationalism and ratings.

Obama uses the deaths of children as a platform for political agendas, making faux cries for us all to "be better than just politics"; yet the voices of both sides (Coulter and Bashir, and oh-so-many others) just can't help but act like immature children in a sandbox.

Is it too much to ask that we who call ourselves Christians at least try to act like we don't have to resort to childish antics to get our message across?

Broad brushes cover a lot. I'm considered a liberal by many on BB, even though I vote R 98% of the time.

And how many of those blindly accept without verification what is broadcast by Fox News and linked to on Drudge?

Actually, people probably think that you're friends With Al Franken and Walter Mondale.;)

It is a myopic view that believes that there are only two conservative news sources in the world. Or that those are the only two that are used by anyone.

Coulter explained her comment on Hannity. She is a tough debater. I think that she is a doll and a lot of fun. She is a million times smarter than I am.

It's the Democrats and liberals that should be embarrassed if they had any sense of shame.
