Another example of left wing/liberal/marxist/communist/democrat fascism

Here’s the problem with suggesting that upsetting speech warrants “safe spaces,” or otherwise conflating mere words with physical assault: If speech is violence, then violence becomes a justifiable response to speech.

Just ask college students. A fifth of undergrads now say it’s acceptable to use physical force to silence a speaker who makes “offensive and hurtful statements.”

That’s one finding from a disturbing new survey of students conducted by John Villasenor, a Brookings Institution senior fellow and University of California at Los Angeles professor.

I bet Nancy Pelosi wanted to use a little force to shut up the protestors at her news conference yesterday. The left attacking their own fellow travellers - I love it!

How much does this come from, starting 20 or more years ago, books and teachers were teaching that it's not true that words/names can never hurt you, as that old rhyme said. so after a full generation has been fed that, the result is that names and blows amount to the same thing?

Man, you're as bad as Crabby. He posts stuff without reading it. Looks like Revmitchell did too.

From the article:

Is violence an agreeable action to disrupt objectionable speech?
Democrats, YES, 20%
Republicans, YES, 22%
Hmmm...more Republicans than left wing/liberal/marxist/communist/fascist Democrats agree that violence is OK to disrupt speech.

Does the first amendment protect hate speech?
Democrats, NO, 41%
Republicans, NO, 39%
Not much of a difference there...
