I see. Don't you find that position somewhat presumptuous - meaning that you are presuming to know the mind of God with that statement? I would think that God knows when it is best for anyone to die...not you nor I.
Peace.
WM

No, I'm not saying I DO know the mind of God - I know MY mind and that is what my mind says. Obviously even if I were to pray that he'd get struck by lightening or hit by a train tonight, that doesn't mean that God is going to do it. But I will continue to pray that this man's "ministry" is destroyed so that he no longer can lead others astray. How God might do that is His choice. But I will continue to pray to that end until there are no more people listening to him.

He has gone international already.
Broadcasting his poison as far away as parts of China, definitely in my country, the Philippines, and Taiwan, where he has his repeater station.
I think he also has some broadcasting in Africa.
Man, May 21, 2011 is just 80 days away.
Can't wait for it.
Am curious what he'll give as excuse.

OK... Thanks for the clarification.

Some interesting observations emerge as you scan some of the posts at Depart Out.

  • Harold Camping is called a Hyper-Calvinist.
  • Elect may be limited to those who believe in his second-coming calendar.
  • Followers of Harold Camping are referred to as Camping-ites.

. . .

Are the second-coming prophecies of Harold Camping an example of Calvinism carried to extreme?

I think we've seen this before... I.e. the Millerites.

I thought I would give equal time to the Camping-ites.

  • What's funny is that there is a girl on another board that I go on who is one of his staunch followers and when a young girl was questioning about God (I posted about that here), and I offered her help, this other girl PMed her and told her to beware of me and that I'd not tell her that I believe in predestination and how terrible that is. Yeah, meanwhile Camping IS a hyper-Calvinist!! Weird.
