If both of us are the same, one of us is unnecessary.

If this world is going to be reached, I am convinced that it must be done by men and women of average talent. After all, there are comparatively few people in the world who have great talents.

Sounds like the shotgun approach to presenting the gospel.

    How true!!

Just shows the importance of everyone in the body. That clearly illustrates the value of discipling each person.

    Anti-intelectualism!?

    Gentlemen et al:

I ran across this and it is so appropriate for this BB discussion.

I call it "The Confessions of a Contorted IFBer." It is a must read for all who might be wrestling with some of the same issues that this brother is.

Please read it and let me know what you think?!

    See:

    http://kerussocharis.blogspot.com/

I do believe it will fit right into the present BB discussion.

    Enjoy!!!

    It may get an AMEN!!!

    Or;

It may get an OH ME!!!

Please take notice that Bro Ed says "two of YOU", not Bro Ed.

Can we get an "amen" to that?

Thank you, John of Japan. I'm soooooo glad you pop in from time to time. After reading through this thread I'm aware that there is more than one definition of "intellectualism" out there. Spiritual interpretation of scripture is the only interpretation! It can't be anything but the Truth!

Mind-mental-intellect interpretation without regard to spiritual is simply wasted effort, as poster 2 Timothy 2:1-4 has pointed out: we don't share the gospel using worldly wisdom.
