He rose above vicious colour prejudice to become a star in every field he entered. He loved people - including Welsh miners & Russians & never forgot his family roots - his father was an escaped slave. He was accused of being a communist, his passport was taken away illegally for 8 years during the evil McCarthy era. He survived attempts to sabotage his car.

He was enjoying a visit to post Stalin Russia when all the evidence indicates he was drugged (by the FBI whose files were destroyed) & attempted suicide. He recovered despite 50 shots of electroconvulsive therapy in England. But never resumed his career.

Er...i think you'll find that Winston Churchill, a Conservative, was our Prime Minister in 1944. But please don't let the facts bother you.

And what is this 'international agreement' of the Labour Party of which you speak? If you mean the Balfour Declaration, that was drawn up by a Conservative former Prime Minister who was serving in a predominantly Liberal coalition government (nothing to do with the Labour Party). But, since we are talking about it, let's look at the wording or the Declaration:

"His Majesty's government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country."

100 years on, we are still waiting for the part I've italicized to be honoured...

No, I am not referring to the Balfour Declaration. You yourself seem to totally reject that concept, huh? The British had a mandate from the League of Nations, which Labour also ignored. Labour should beg the British government to take all of the people in Gaza and settle them in London and let the Jews have Gaza. It seems that Dubai does not want the Palestinians in their town.

It's a controversial topic and one which is unfortunately linked by some people to anti-Semitism. Therefore you will find plenty of material (genetic and historical) on the internet both for and against the theory but beware that the stuff in favour has often been hijacked by far-right groups

I am not. I think that it is merely evidence that Labour has gone anti-Semitic before, that Bevin is the forerunner of Corbyn. Also, I think that Trump has improved American foreign policy by abandoning any concession to the Palestinians, including the notion of a two-state solution. The Arabs themselves already have twenty-two states and an area as large as or larger than the USA. So it seems that the Arabs could absorb the Arabs of Gaza but they allow Gaza to stand as a propaganda tool, which Labour has fallen for.

I think that Labour is behind the times on this issue and that they should let it go fallow but then again Corbyn doesn't seem to want to let it go. Abbas is only out for what he can get. He was sick so we had to send him to one of our best hospitals Johns Hopkins and treat him for nothing (his money is in Switzerland), for which we got no thanks, but we knew what he was beforehand.

As for Israel, they are a very capable military ally of the West against Iran.

Something happened to the Khazars; they can't have just vanished. Dispersal among Karaites, Krym Jews and Ashkenazim seems the most likely explanation.

Furthermore, there will be quite a few Palestinians who are descended from 1st century Jewish converts to Christianity. IIRC there are or were several prominent Jerusalem Palestinian families who could trace their ancestry to the time of Jesus.

With the Israelis shooting hundreds of unarmed protesters in Gaza, it seems that antisemitism is common humanity. Semitism is evil.
