]QUOTE=jbh28;1732334]Every time I hear it, it sounds like we only go part way up. Maybe that would be progressive rapture.[/QUOTE

maybe those here holding to more of a "Lordship" salvation process might find themselves in ageement with this position though?
that jesus will be ONLY rapturing out of the World those saints who are Spirit filled/walking with God, while those who are carnal/luke warm get "left behind" to have the tribulation "fire them up" for God?
I've not heard of this particular belief. I have heard of a Baptist Bride position and also a millennial exclusion belief for lukewarm Christians who have not accomplished enough good works. I completely disagree with both positions.
I've heard of the partial rapture theory, but I don't know anybody who holds that view. Do any of you here on the Baptist Board know anybody who does?
]And Jesus Fan, I don't there's any correlation between Lordship Salvation and the PR theory.[/QUOTE
Just stating that IF one takes that position to its 'strictly logically" conclusion... as some have said who hold to it"IF jesus is NOT Lord over ALL, he is Lord over NONE"
That view would make secuity/assurance dubious, so would seem to fit into thinking that those who have made "best efforts" to make Lord over their lives by getting included in the rapture, while God would allow others to stay here and "get serious" about their walk with God!

I've heard this phrase my whole life and have come to the conclusion that Jesus will not tarry His coming in any way. When His Father gives Him the word, He will come for His bride immediately....if the Lord tarries...

Hebrews 10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. (KJV)
[/QUOTE]QUOTE=Aaron;1733195]Yes, I've heard this, as well as multiple variations on the topic. Now that your church is essentially Pentecostal, you're going to witness a lot more silliness. Shoot, in ten years if the Lord tarries and the U.S. is still around, you'll have a fairly large repertoir of strange, unusual and entertaining stories to tell. :type:

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. (KJV)isn't jesus being held in the heavens until either "The Fulness of the gentiles" comes to pass, and God turns back to dealing with Isrealdirectly, OR until the last person saved before His coming gets recorded?
