I believe a church that properly teaches Scripture most likely will not have to deal with questions about him because the congregation already knows the answer. They may not agree and instead agree with Bell but the stance of the church will be clear.
No. I don't know about my fellow church members, but I have not even heard of Robb Bell. What (briefly ) does this man believe that needs refuting?
(2Ti 4:2) Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Our church doesn't preach AGAINST Bell, or any other teacher with whom we disagree.
Our pastor simply teaches the truth as he understands it.
BIG difference.
Sort of like banks first make sure tellers are uber familiar with REAL currency.
They don't focus a lot of time on what makes a fake bill a fake. You don't have to know all about fake bills, just the real ones. That makes a fake stand out immediately.
Pastor says we can preach and teach on issues and people and run around putting out brush fires, or preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified. We choose the latter.
he believes that the church has misunderstood the teaching on hell, as he teaches that the Bible supports that ..... (snip)
Thanks, JF, (and Christos Doulos too) for your helpful reply.
Bell is so far off my church's radar that they might not bring it up except if I do. I have talked about the move towards universalism in theology, but not Rob Bell specifically.
