The Department of Homeland Security's Office of Inspector General on Tuesday released its final report on overcrowding at several border facilities in the Rio Grande Valley — nearly a week after BuzzFeed News reported on a draft version — revealing shocking photographs of people crammed into small detention spaces.

Inspectors detailed how, when they visited several the facilities earlier this month, they found adults and minors with no access to showers. Many adults were only fed bologna sandwiches, and detainees were seen banging on cell windows — pressing notes to the windows that detailed their time in custody.

Inspectors described the conditions as "dangerous" and "prolonged." Some adults were held in standing-room-only conditions for a week. There was little access to hot showers or hot food for families and children in some facilities.

That's a minor point. The bigger problem is Democrats are blaming President Trump for an Obama problem. President Obama in turn blamed President Bush.

I think Republicans are losing this propaganda war. Instead of denying existence of these camps they should be busy pointing out to their history, quoting statistics of immigrants deaths across years etc. And being real. President Salvini of Italy turned away a ship full of immigrants something that goes against maritime laws. He is not a racist or ignorant, he just can't soak up ten times immigrants as the next EU nation just because he has a coastline overlooking Africa.

Republicans are not denying the existence of the problem at the border. It has been the Democrats who for the last year or so, who have been denying that there is a problem at the border. First, they said that there was no crisis. When forced to face the facts, they said it was a manufactured crisis, when that didn't hold up, they finally had to admit that it is a humanitarian crisis and they blamed it on Trump. They have been in a state of denial for a while and it took a long time for them to acknowledge there was any problem. The problem at the border was fixable and all it takes is for Congress to change the asylum laws and untie the hands of the border agents and ICE.


It's the Democrats who need to do better. The border facilities were not designed to take in the tens of thousands of illegals that are coming to the border. The conditions are bad because the resources are stretched to a degree that adequate care is difficult if not possible to give. In the time it took them to finally admit that there was a problem at the border, they could have crafted legislation to fix it, but they WANT those camps to resemble concentration camps. They want those awful conditions to continue. It's a weapon against Trump.

The Democrat controlled House could offer a bill to change the laws, but that would help Trump and give him a legislative victory. So, they prefer to keep things as they are. They know that those facilities are not able to deal with the situation. But as long as the conditions are horrible, it is easy to blame Trump and make sure that they always have liberal activist judges to block any administrative attempts to bring any kind of relief to the situation.

They don't care about the children. The children are just an emotional, manipulative tool used to smear Trump. Beyond their usefulness in that area, they could not are less about the kids.

AOC is walking disgrace, a reproach and a waste of humanity. She is a liar through and through. She voted against both bills to bring humanitarian aid to these kids. She is one of the most unintelligent members of Congress that we have.
