The story came out yesterday. It was reported by the MSM. InfoWars was late to the party.
He did say the Patriot Act. It was passed in a hurry and it required many lawsuits for the courts to tell us what was really in it. Asked and answered.
Laws, much sausage, are best made without knowing the bits and pieces of how they came to pass.
It was also passed overwhelmingly by both parties.
Can't hardly say the same for Obamacare.
NO one said that about the Patriot Act.
You are correct. No Republican said "we've got to pass the Patriot Act to see what is in it."
But....
In the movie Fahrenheit 9/11 Congressman Jim McDermott is shown saying, "No senator read the [Patriot Act] bill".
John Conyers, Jr. is recorded saying, "We don't read most of the bills. Do you really know what that would entail if we read every bill that we passed?" Congressman Conyers then answers his own rhetorical question, asserting that if they did it would "slow down the legislative process."
Both these guys are Democrats so your statement stands. I was technically wrong. However, it has taken numerous lawsuits to be settled to actually figure out the extent and boundaries of the Patriot Act.
The difference is and my point was that with Obamacare there was an intentional effort to make sure people did not know what was in it.

Infowars usually runs stories after the MSM does. Because that's what infowars does. Analyses what the MSM puts out there. The biggest difference between Alex Jones and the calm cool collected well groomed MSM talking heads you prefer is Alex doesn't forget about the stories 6 hours after he airs them. He follows them to the end instead. The problem you guys seem to have with Alex is he doesn't try to keep you where you so desperately want to stay, sound asleep inside a false left vs right paradigm. He tries to wake people up out of it. That's what really burns your bacon isn't it? You don't want people to be woke up! You want everyone else to keep on snoozing in a false paradigm just like you. Rooting for your team and booing the other. Rah Rah Rah, Boo, Boo, Boo.
It's funny watching you guys reject the same stories the MSM runs when I post them with a link to infowars.
I suppose the Rev works so hard to find other links to the stories he finds on infowars before he posts them because he's afraid you all will do to him what do to me.
It's okay Rev I understand, there's no shame in visiting sites that make it easy to find lot's of "mainstream" news articles. These other folks might not get it but I do.
Why waste time searching all over the net for news articles when infowars already has them all in one place?

Really now, what difference does it make who finds it first so long as it's found? Besides infowars has more readers/viewers than most of the MSM does these days. Faux Snews is about the only one that has more than Alex and the average age of a Faux follower is like 72 years old or something! At that age snoozing is about all they can do. No one needed to say that about the Patriot Act. The guy in the video spoke to obfuscation. The Patriot Act just like the Affordable Care Act was a masterpiece of obfuscation.
You can say that again. People still have no idea how intrusive the Patriot act is. And after campaigning against it, Obama expanded it.
Surely you can show me how it is full of obfuscation and that the plan was for it to be that way so it could be passed.
We can oppose the the patriot act without trying to create unwarranted criticism.

Surely you can investigate that yourself if you really want to know. It's obvious that you don't want to acknowledge what most rational people do.
Like Congress ever passes a bill in 45 days for anything.
It was the perfect storm to give the government obfuscated freedom to do all sorts of things under the guise of "keeping us safe".
You made the claim and as usual you can't back it up. You are not failing to back it up because I won't accept it. you will not back it up because you just threw a claim out there in order to defend obama but cannot back it up as it is no truth in foundation.

Well, what people want is impossible and it's like with the budget, people say, we hate budget deficits, we hate tax increases and you ask them about any programs, they don't want to cut any programs.
Thus, Barro continued the desperate spin of defending Gruber by opining that it is indeed “the public” that “puts politicians in a position where the only thing they can do to make the public happy is lie and so, people lied.”

Since you know enough to tell me what I'm doing, then you know enough to look up the answer to your question yourself.
You got Obama on the brain. Get help as the conversation has NOTHING to do with defending Obama.
You just don't want to admit that the Democrats and the Republicans have always dealt in producing bills that obfuscate their intent so that they can turn around and use said bills to give themselves very wide latitude to do whatever the heck they want.
You don't have to admit it. You don't have to accept it. And I'm certainly not gonna waste my time trying to prove it to ya.
