I will say, I think the whole thing of global warming (climate change) is blown way out of proportion. But we as believers should also not permit the "left" to capitalize on and own the issue of stewardship of our planet and resources. I think, even disagreeing passionately with "global warming" we should at least recognize that we do many less than helpful things to our environment and we often pay the price for it. We should be vanguards in honesty and intellectual curiosity to find beneficial, efficient and economical means for providing for our energy and transportation needs. I sincerely hope that some conservative leadership in the coming years will articulate this and move us toward that end.
You need to understand that global warming is not just about the temperature of the earth and who caused it. It is about gaining control of people and a Marxist agenda. It is about redistributing American wealth to undeveloped countries to keep them from industrializing themselves. It is about far more than just the temperature of the earth.

If you follow the money it will lead to the whacky acting lefties who scream at us about Global Warming. Most of these who have falsified numbers to make their agenda work are creating job security or even worse gaining wealth like Al Gore by promoting carbon credit legislation. If Al Gore really was worried about Global Warming he would be like many of the activists and stop driving a car, have solar, wind and geothermal power at his many residents. But no we don't see that. Such hypocrisy.

Snow and freezing rain is in the forecast for Tuesday along the Gulf Coast. Here's the deal. These occurrences are nothing new. There have been snows in the past and even freezing rain along the Gulf Coast. It has been happening well before any of us were born. These occurrences come in cycles. The drought on the West Coast is nothing new either. It is not caused by global warming. It is caused by the location of the jet stream. Hurricanes are no worse or better this century. They come and go in cycles too just as they have long before any of us were born. Only idiot bed wetting liberals want to attach "global warming" to any act of nature be it hot or cold. Using ice core samples we can estimate the CO2 level and global temperature going back 400,000 years and the correlation is undeniable. Here is a chart that shows that:
But what the global warming community choses to ignore is that correlation does not mean cause and effect. In the case of CO2 and temperature it may well be the opposite.

Estimates from 800,000 now 400,000 years using ice samples--what is the systematic error of this measurement system? What are the assumptions in the equation regarding constants? How would this measurement system compare to something like carbon dating?
One more question: What would a world-wide flood do to the ice stratification and resulting data taken there from?

Great reply! As you suggest, until Al Gore and Barack Obama come up with a plan to keep the universe under control, we are really just guessing.
