I think God knows the future but it is not written yet. some people get tangled up in that but we would never need to pray if it did not change things. we would not need missions. but we get off track.

I don't know...I've basically been trying to argue equality from God's point of view. IF He hates anyone, I can't see how we are equal.

someone brought up the Declaration and you said "I don't even understand why it says that all men were created equal...."

So I took it we were trying to decide what those who wrote the document meant when they said it.

I think it is clear from what we see around us that as far as God is concerned we are not equal in most aspects.

as far as position in life, handicaps, physical features, cars we drive, things we like, favorite sports teams(go Packers) etc we are clearly not equal.

Obviously the origional statement referred to white male Protestants, not black female Catholics and the signers knew it.

Second, The Lincoln Revolution nullified the principles of the Declaration of Independance or at least added the proviso: but God is in the side with the most cannon.

Don't forget that the places where scripture referrs to God hating does not carry an inference of God withholding love. We tend to presume that hate equates to not loving. That may be true in our English verbage, but it's not true in regards to scriptural application or attribute.

We're all sinners who must come to him with a repentant spirit.

Except for the ones that God doesn't want to come to Him (according to Calvinists). [IMG] But I guess we're drifting off topic...

True, but if we were all equal God would want all to come to Him.

It means "equal under the law" - secular law. A poor man, and lately woman, is entitled to the same justice and remedies as a rich man. The natural rights accorded to the rich man must also be accorded the poor man.

Peter said God is no respecter of persons. We are equal, I beleive, in his eye.

God, being the first person in the trinity, cannot look at sin. Since we all sin.....

Christians, wearing the cloak of Christ (the 2nd person)'s righteousness, will all be equally saved.

Christ will appoint the rewards at his Great White Throne. But in his father's eyes, we are all equal.

The differences, the disabilities, the diseases, the place on the pecking order, none of those change the fact that in God's eyes, we are not worthy to share his glory.

No, you were not required to be a property owner to vote. That was one of the proposals when the Constitution was drafted, but it was rejected.

Blacks (as well as persons of any race) and women received the right to vote via Constutional Amendment (15th and 19th Amendments).

Cool...women weren't even allowed to vote here in Canada 'til the 20's I believe.
