TCGreek said:1. Is it safe to conclude from passages like Col.1:13; Rev. 1:5, 6; Rom 5:17 to affirm that believers are now reigning with Christ in His kingdom.
2. I understand Matt.13 to be referring to the Mystery form of the Kingdom, which we are now part of.

J.D. said:1. Yes. And perhaps Eph 2:6 can be added to that?
2. I agree, but I think it's no longer a mystery, Paul revealed it in Eph 2 to name one place.

Mark 9:11-13
11 And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?
12 And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.
13 But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.
Thanks! This is actually an excellent explanation as to why ME has gained popularity. That and the parable of the mustard seed.James_Newman said:Matthew 13:33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
I'm going to assume you equate the gospel of the kingdom with the leaven, so if this parable is the reason the gospel of the kingdom has gained popularity then why is it that there are very few kingdom believers left any more? If this was the leaven then we should see thousands upon thousands. This is actually an excellent explanation as to why ME has gained popularity.

James_Newman said:I suspect there are thousands, they are just hidden in the meal. Certainly I know tenfold more believers in ME than I did when I first believed it.

God is one.
God is soverign.

Believers are saved.

Believers will be saved.
