Are Republicans Responsible for America's Moral Decline?

Extreme conservatives seem eager to blame the decline of morality in the United States on Democrats.

However, over the past 40 years the Republicans have controlled the White House for 28 years, controlled at least one or both houses of Congress for 18 of those years, and for almost all of the past 40 years, if not all of them, the majority of the U.S. Supreme Court has consisted of Republican appointed justices.

Something to think about when assigning blame.

That's a fact. While I have no use for either party, as they are both a self-serving, power hungry group of slugs, the Democrats add the extra dimension of stupidity. Only the Democrats could lose an election in 2008 with a trashed economy and unpopular war. If they do in fact lose, they need to turn out the lights and ask a new party to take over.
