Are Trump or Cruz really Evangelicals?

I hear Trump try to convince his followings that he is a Presbyterian, and he carries his childhood bible with him when he is speaking to an audience that may be looking for him to be, well, more religious!

Then there is Cruz. Man he can debate as well as he can quote and apply scripture to the thoughts he promotes along the campaign trail!; especially in Hawk-eye country!?

Now the two of them are trying to solicit support from "evangelicals," and they are doing quite well if I say so myself! Still, I have to ask: Are both these men playing up to the audience to gain votes, or are their professions of faith honest and genuine? Sure only God knows for sure what their hearts are when it comes to their faith in him, but as an observer of the two, I still have to ask, are they playing the game, or are their overtures for votes genuine and from the heart?

As always your eagle eyeball saved me from grammar shame. Keep up your good work. Personally, I think you should be charging for your constructive criticism, but hey who am I to look a gift horse in the eye. If you can get the milk free, why buy the cow ..... Whistling

It grieves me that "Christians" will look up to, have agreement with, and actually vote for a person who tickles their ears, and not someone who has a clear testimony of love for Christ. It is bad enough when an assembly does this, but far worse in the worldly political realms.

Trump has not shown any statement of Godly belief. Look here for his own statements about repentance.

He is merely playing to the public as the deceitful salesman wanting to make the deal.

If you listen, that is all he actually can talk about - lets make a deal.

Needs to be the host of a game show, not the president in chief.

Palin is merely someone who thrives on attention and lacks all credibility. That she isn't a blonde is sad, because then folks might recognize her as the joke.

There is no way that Trump is actually an Evangelical. He is just trying to speak the language (poorly I might add) to win that voting block. Cruz I think is the real deal. If not he at least grew up in Evangelical circles since he does speak the language like a native does.

Do we want to elect someone with Christian values or someone with New York values? Our dear President was supposed to be a "committed" Christian, but supported just about every premise of the godless left. If we elect Mr. Trump, we had better pray he surrounds himself will a well qualified but diverse team. Mr. Trump may not have a deep understanding of many issues, but like Reagan, when given the options, he seems more than able to pick a wise path.

Personally, I am going to vote for Marco.

Trump wants to be a winner. Look for him to have the best around him, and for him to delegate and not micromanage. I believe that like Reagan, Trump can make America great again. He must love this country, after all, he is putting his money where his mouth is.

The others put their mouth wherever their money comes from. I don't doubt they love America, but, they will be beholden to the Super PAC's and businesses. Trump will not owe any man. The bible kind of tells us to owe no one, too.

He is doing so for the same reason he has all the other "ventures" the man has ever done from the time of his father. For personal gain.

He is NOT like Reagan in the slightest. What Reagan said as governor, he continued to say through the campaign trail in his first run for the whitehouse. He did not change his message significantly through the successful run some years later. And certainly not during the reelection.

Trump has no such history. In fact, just the opposite. He is known as a narcissist and as such a bully. He has consistently changed his view in the past to fit his goals, and has done little other than bluster and tell the people what they want to hear. EXACTLY what Obumer did.

Trump was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He has no concept of what working people do, nor what it is to try to pay bills.

I would rather trust the believer who will seek wisdom from God than all the delegated authorities who ultimately want to ride the coat tails of the rich and famous.

Cruz is not only so much wiser than Trump, but FAR more intelligent. I think Cruz's tax plan is one of the best I have read.

And Cruz has a solid testimony of family life, and dedication to Christ.

Trump has neither. He is married to the third wife, who was naturalized as a citizen in 2006. Trump has absolutely no credible testimony as a believer.

Would the believers rather have a David or an Ahab?

That is a rather good comparison to the life and living of the two men.

Cruz is the real deal as has been said. Trump is not a Christian. And Rubio is for open borders and will be controlled by the establishment. He is owned and not his own man.
