Scripture makes clear that believers are obligated to glorify God in everything that they do (1 Cor. 10:31).

Are unbelievers obligated to glorify God in everything that they do?

Yes. It is the purpose of man.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil."

Unbelievers are slaves to sin. They act according to their master.
God is glorified in his justice as he condemns sin.

Achan was commanded by Joshua to give glory to God. Joshua 7:19.
Belshazzar was condemned for not glorifying God. Daniel 5:23.
God now commands all men everywhere to repent. Acts of the Apostles 17:30.

Daniel 5:23 is one of the intriguing passages that I had in mind in starting this thread.

Daniel 5:23 But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

It's clear from this passage that Belshazzar was supposed to glorify God but did not glorify Him.

We know from Psalm 19:1 that the heavens declare the glory of God. Suppose an unbeliever paints a truly magnificent and fully true-to-reality painting of a night sky.

Has he glorified God by making that painting?

Even if we say that he has not, does his painting still glorify God because it depicts God's creation with true excellence?

! Corinthians 10:31 is not addressed to unbelievers:

1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,
2 unto the church of God which is at Corinth, even them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, their Lord and ours: 1 Cor 1
You have incorrectly taken part of a preceding sentence and linked it to the following sentence.

This thread is not about whether 1 Cor. 10:31 applies to unbelievers.

Independently from 1 Cor. 10:31, this thread is asking the question of whether unbelievers are obligated to glorify God in all that they do.

>>Are unbelievers obligated to glorify God in everything that they do?<<

I looked up some synonyms for obliged and they do shed some light on this question. These are just a few: require, compel, constrain, force. So the question we have to answer is does God force unbelievers to do what they do not want to do “glorify Him”. If you think about it, if you are forced to do/say something then do you really mean what you are doing/saying? Yes all will bow the knee before God but some will be to glorify and some from fear.

When you look at Dan 5:23 or 1Co 10:31 we see that man has to make that choice to glorify God. That being said whereas God is sovereign then He can require that all glorify Him but will He force all to glorify Him is the question?
