Are we to Look For the IMMINENT Return of Christ?

Where would those who believe in either full Pretierist/premillenial eschatology be able to fulfill that looking for his "imminent" returning?

full pretierist would deny His return, premill would have 7 years of tribulation to come etc

Unless one is an amil, which I am NOT, how would you work around this?

Rev 22:12 is translated in different ways.

KJV and NASB say "Behold, I come quickly...."
NIV and others say "Behold, I am coming soon..."

Given the fact that it's been 2000 years since John wrote those words quoting Jesus, "soon" doesn't quite fit.

I think the sense of the verse is when the final events kick in, they'll happen in rapid fashion.

The imminent rturn for His Bride is what we are looking for. This return is pre-tribulational. The 2nd advent follows 7 years later per pre-tribu;ation and Pre-millinial teaching. So one really needs to define what type return you mean.

Could it be that the Rapture is the "blessed hope" for the Church alive at end of days, while His Second Coming event is blessed hope for Isreal and the World?

2Peter 3:8-10. ' But beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as a day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any [of His elect] should perish but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night.' Unlike the destruction of Jerusalem which was a long drawn out affair.
