Men have allowed themselves to be emmasculated.
We are responsible for the perversion of the family. I believe this is why our society has so many problems. God ordained the family structure. (according to His plan) Man leads the family like Christ leads the Church. Our society is founded upon the family structure. Men have abdicated our role of leader. The family unit is falling apart, which is the foundation of our society. When the foundation crumbles, the house falls or at least is damaged severely. As the structure comes apart the foundation is further damaged. Look at a building. the structure gains it's strength from the foundation and the foundation gains much of it's strength from the structure built upon it. As one or the other is weakened they destroy each other.

(hey, where did this pulpet come from????)

edited for clarity. :D added wording in parenthesis.

Not for me! I had to tease the last few writers,
because their posts were so "on the ball" in my
    opinion.

That Dr. Bob's neighboring church will not allow
women a vote is doubly sad: (1) that it is a church
without female insight, and (92) that the men are
so spiritualy lazy that they would so easily hand
    over their power.

That SheEagle is so aggravatingly right about
women in powerful positions too often losing
their femininity and becoming pseudo men with
an overt toughness, that they are often crass,
and that they often have foul mouths. Within
the churches, I have observed this tendency as
well, although not usually the foul mouths.

That SheEagle is also right that men have allowed
themselves to become weak both moraly and
spiritually. That they have also confused being
a strong male with being demanding, keeping
family members under their thumbs, fighting,
    and being overtly sexual.

To me, a truly strong male is a man who is able
to hold to strong biblical values, who is not
afraid of his wife's natural power, who sees the
value in a man and woman in a committed
    relationship complementing one another instead
    of competing.

And your post, James Reed, I found to be both
    humorous and to the point.

Yes, admittedly, I am a strong, opinionated
woman but my husband has no fear of me, and
I give him no reason to worry. He is a naturaly
competitive male, but he feels no need to be
competitive with me; we are, rather, partners.
The only time we are competitive is when we
    play Scrabble.

We are also different in religion, but we have both
found this to be a wonderful thing for learning
biblical principles quickly. We debate Bible, and
when we do, we debate strongly, but we have had
only one argument in our 15.6 years of marriage.

We are so much on our own paths that when I got
kicked out of the church I had attended over 50
years, he continued to go, and I encouraged him
to do it. When he left and started attending a
church I disliked, I went with him and kept my
mouth shut, seeking for things in it that I could
think of positively. He has now settled in a
Nazarene church, which is a very nice church with
great people, but he goes his way, and I go mine,
then we come back together and enjoy a
    wonderful married friendship that my
    acquaintances have verbally expressed
    jealousy over.

Yes, I am a strong, opinionated woman who has
learned in the last 25 years how to express her
own opinions, but I married a stronger, more
opinionated man, and we are very happy
together. It is just that he had some things to
learn morally, but he is learning, not stagnating.

    My view:
Women are generally more open to deception due to their emotions.

Men are more open to disobedience due to their refusal to submit completly to Christ and be as they should,
( I try to be to the point, can't type)

Psalm 31?... "In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defense to save me. For thou art my rock and my fortress; therfore for they name's sake lead me and guide me". .... Yes Psalm 31 is a very good chapter. I especially like the last verse in it: "Be of good courage, and he shall stregthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD." That is a good admonision for us all.

However, considering the context of what you said I wonder if you meant to say Proverbs 31...which from verses 10-31 describes the attributes of a wise woman. Or perhaps you meant to provide Ephesians 5...which is also an excellent chapter on submission to God.

    Or have I...Proverbs 29:11? ;)
