"Elect" does not mean "Elite"
Elect is a scriptural term. Elite is a worldly term. Elite implies arrogance and pride. "The Elect" are humbled by the Grace of God. There is no room for boasting but rather praising God is the only proper response.
I know whom I have believed:
In retrospect,
I was "sprinkled" into "The Church"--RC, at birth; they also "brainwashed me" through age 10. I still recite "Hail Mary" in my sleep.
I became a follower of John and Charles Wesley during my early teens--mostly to meet girls.
My later teens were spent getting more confused by the followers of Joseph Smith.
A "repeat after me" sinners prayer put me on the Arminian Road at age 23--still working for salvation. Jacob A. had me convinced for many years.
At age 56, the Lord brought me out of the bondage of works.
Lord help me Jesus--I have wasted it so.
I have learned: one can join every "church" in the world and still be "lost as a goose in a snow storm".
Salvation is of the Lord; Jesus paid it all.
What churches still teach the Truth?-the ones built by Jesus--not a man or woman.
How are they described: Sovereign Grace, Landmark, Missionary, Baptistic--the Bible variety.

Bro. James
