Plus, as a moderator, I can't put him on ignore.

Hey Chiefeng,

Interesting post. I agree that it is sometimes good to ignore people, especially if they get under your skin.

But life does not have an ignore button. As we journey through this life we will encounter people with different views.

Some want these voices silenced. But as adults we can choose to read a post or ignore a post.

When I go into a store I can choose not to look at the pornography on the shelf. I do not have to ask the clerk to hide those magazines. Same with this board. I choose not to entertain the ideas of some members.

I encourage you to develop the self-discipline needed to choose what to read and what voices to hear without the aid of an "ignore button". I believe this will help you, not only on this board but in life.

Me, over the years, I've come to Jon's position. As a yoot, I was a member of the John Birch Society. I still have copies of American Opinion in a steamer case. However, by the time I was 21, I came to see matters differently from the JBS.
I came to see the CFR, Bilderbergers, et al as various families of "political" organized crime (eg, the La Costa Nostra, The Triads, the Yakuza, etc.) Sometimes working in concert with each other and sometimes not. I saw this as a practical outworking of
IOW, overall there isn't a central physical authority. As much as folks want there to be. As noted in Ephesians, there is a "spiritual" one, Satan and his minions.
I was a long time Republican. I still have the same values, but I have come to see the world a bit differently, I suppose. Now I see "us and them" along spiritual rather than political lines.

I breezed thu the link

Now, let me talk about Jon also - he is a conservative - I am a Conservative. Whats the difference.
Jon uses it as an adjective. I use as a noun.
I am a member of the Conservative Party of NY.
Some will say that by voting Conservative, we split the Republican vote.
That is only true when the Republicans put up a liberal candidate.
as NY has the fusion ballot.

One other thing - I also have a bit of libertarian in me as well.
What is the fusion ballot?

I read it. It was hilarious. The 33rd degree Scottish Rite Freemasons...the Illuminati....grand Master plan to roll out a new world order.

Conspiracy theorists living on one big flat earth singing kumbaya.

For the record, I am a conservative....just not gullible enough to believe the article.
I was not linking the article as my belief, I was linking the article as a discussion topic. You attack it in the usual ‘conservative’ way that you use on fellow conservatives. As I said before, your actions speak louder than your words. You act like these meager words will go back to uniting us as Christians. Doesn’t work that way. That’s why all your libby friends here are emboldened but your conservative friends here are leaving or have left.
I can only assume since the admins jump to defend you from a ‘you’re funny’ comment, that you are gold plated. Not solid gold, in my opinion, but you can keep flashing that gold plate. So nice that SGO didn’t get martyred. Thanks for sparing him today.

One aspect of the is the notion of the political "left and right." It's history set aside, there are political spectrums. Government, total control on one extreme and no control on the other extreme. The same for economics and environment. Our US government has its three branches of governing power. And those who want to change that. Remember more government means less liberty.

What is the fusion ballot?

A candidate can be on several different political party lines and then the votes on the different lines are added together.'
For example

Jones........................................................Smith
Republican.........1,102...........................Democratic.............1,190
Conservative.........251............................Working Families......209
Independence.........78.............................Reformed...................29
County unity.*..........33.............................Plant more Trees........25
Total....................1,464............................................................1,453

So in the above example - even though Smith won between the Dems and Rep votes,
but adding in all the party lines - Jones is the actual winner.
The "County unity" and the "Plant more Trees" lines are facetious parties,
however candidates will often have an "independent line" with names such as I stated, for those
who may not want to vote on an organized Party line

and If I remember correctly, a party may not have the name "Independent" in it.
This has confused may people - they register for the Independence Party - thinking they have sign up as an "independent"
In NY State - there is no such thing as an "independent"

The other six parties are actual parties in NY State.
The two biggest "minor" party lines are Conservative and Working Families.
(About 20 years ago, the Working Families replaced the Liberal Party)
The Conservative ensures that the Rep dont put candidates who are too liberal
and the Working Family ensues the Dems dont put up candidates who are too conservative.
(that is the basic theory, but there are other considerrtions.
So if one of those other parties do not endorse the major party line - it could make a big difference.

For presidential and Governor elections - it has not been unusual to have a dozen party lines listed

In regards to the OP, ten years ago (which was also prior to when I was Born Again) I would said the whole article was "tin-foil" land. Now, I would say that I disagree with 60% of it and agree with 40% of it.

  • I agree the current crisis has been hyperinflated to benefit various shadowy entities that seek to curb our God given natural rights.
  • I don't think they're actively satanic as in knowingly worshipping satan. I believe they're unregenerate people who are serving their own interests and plans, unknowingly serving satan.
  • I agree the "banks", "rich", whatever you want to call them are mostly evil and seek to funnel money from Farmer Joe.
  • I agree that the U.S is facing a slow motion collapse. I think we're going to slowly (then quickly) collapse into a version of Ulster's "troubles" mixed with some form of state-federal nullification beef like in the War Between the States combined with Yugoslavia's balkanization. There's reasons why my community produces our own food ;)
  • I don't think the "right/left" divide exists anymore. If you look at the "Left" they're just Communists that adhere to group-think. If you look at the "Right", the "Right" is now a collection of Republicans, Conservatives, Libertarians, JFK Dems, Anti-Communists, Anti-PC and Christians. Calling the "Right" Anti-Communists would be more correct currently. You could call it a Communist/Anti-Communist divide.
I've been an Independent for years and have voted for the Republican, Libertarian, Constitution and rarely for the Democrat party. In my little voting district of ~300 people, I was 1 of 3 people who voted for a Dem for Ag Commissioner in 2020 LOL.

You misunderstood. I was not attacking. I was asking a question about the two headed eagle with the 33 on its breast. Then I was giving my opinion of the article.

Why do you believe that anybody disagreeing with something you post is "attacking"? This is strange since this is a debate/ discussion forum.

My assessment of the article is it's based on conspiracy theories about the Freemasons, Illuminati, and new world orders. The issue, IMHO, is not these things but our stance against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. IMHO we should take up the whole armor of God, and having done all, to stand (we should do what you think is so "funny").

So…..I’ve just begun the 5 hour video, about an hour in. Glad my mind is open, otherwise why continue to breath if you can’t continue to honestly evaluate what is surrounding you. Even on Oak Island, if you’re a fan, freemasonry at every turn. Interesting. My FIL was a mason. I believe his ring/watch are somewhere around my house right now……….

My Church has fairly strict membership qualifications to make sure their members are truly born-again. In a discussion with the Elders/Pastors we were both asked if we were members of secret societies such as the Freemasons. I joked that we're not, unless you count my Vol Fire Dept haha. The Masons are fairly common in our area and our Pastors apparently have reasons not to want them in the Church family. I never got to hear the reasons why though.

Because of prior behavior. Simple. Maybe you thought I was a slow learner, like the time you said I wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, or words to that effect. Maybe I should have gone back & looked it up before you have time to edit it. Yup, must be slow alright.

Oh, here it is…….

Like you, @church mouse guy simply could not accept a person would see the GOP and DNC as worldly except that person be a Democrat. That was his "case" against me...problem is, it was a lie. I have been a Republican but never a Democrat. I never leaned that way. My values are the same, I just do not express them through the GOP.

If you want to know why, read posts from @Aaron , @church mouse guy , and your posts. They are dishonest. They assume I lean Democrat or like Biden because I have decided to follow my conscious and refrain from voting in political elections.

I am probably more conservative than you (at least, you are no more conservative than I). I just do not affiliate with a political party any more.

I believe you feel I am a target for that (you can lie about me because your thugs will back you up and I have no party disciples). But it is no less a lie.

That is something you all need to consider. You think lying about me some how supports your position, bit it does not. It makes you look weak and pathetic.

But to my knowledge he never posted "one trick pony" (at least not in our interactions).

You are confused.

I never claimed CMG posted "one trick pony". I said he posted something else intended to offend and it was edited to "one trick pony".

As a moderator I will edit posts when they contain offensive or provocative language. I will never apologize for that.

We are, of course, talking about a member who used offensive/ provocative language back in February.

I was a Republican (never a Democrat). Snd yes And, I supported Trump. And you are correct, I now abstain from voting. It does not bother me that other people vote. Christians should not act against their convictions.

I do believe that Christians cannot have one foot in the World and one foot in the Kingdom. We are in this world but not of this world.

I work out how this looks for me, but I leave it to others to work out how it looks for themselves.

Perhaps you should inform that what is written is not necessarily what was originally written, because ‘moderated’. Or perhaps you could just insert ‘bleep moderated’.
If you didn’t have one foot in the ‘World’, you wouldn’t be the highest poster of the day, week, month, year, mainly in News & Politics.

I did inform the member and reported to staff (which is my practice) so there would be a record. Perhaps you should adhere to BB rules and discuss any issues you have with an admin via pm (to @Squire Robertsson or @Salty ) or use the report feature.

I realize this is a complaint that did not involve you and occurred back in Feburary, but it is still discussing moderation on the open forum.

Too often members make assumptions about things they know nothing about.

No. Those are not my terms. I am saying if you want to discuss a member who posted provocative statements which were edited back in Feburary then you are barking up the wrong tree. Pm @Squire Robertsson or @Salty . I am not interested.

I never said I wanted to discuss it, did I? Maybe you are uncomfortable to read your own post to me. Maybe you should be if you’re not. Notice where you called out multiple posters in this post? And you still do it. That is what I’m discussing, & what you are ignoring, as usual. This is where you schmooze someone, & amazingly I’ve seen generous people buy in, or change the subject, or pull out some Christian forum lingo………. nothing new under the sun, or the Son.
