Arianna: Sarah Palin Has Demeaned Herself With Rush Limbaugh Hypocrisy

Let the hysterical replies begin.

Sarah Palin has demeaned herself, according to Arianna.

Arianna appeared on "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" Friday and explained that Sarah Palin's refusal to call out Rush Limbaugh for his use of the word "retard" proves that she is afraid that offending the radio host and arbiter of the conservative movement could hurt her image.

Earlier this week, Palin called for Rahm Emanuel to be fired after he used the same word.

Arianna agrued that Palin's decision to go after Emanuel, but not Limbaugh is all part of Palin's "cost-benefit analysis" operating procedure:

[Arianna: Everything with her seems to be about this cost-benefit analysis, you know what is in her best interests as opposed to anything else. And that goes directly against the brand that she tried to build about her being authentic, being about her core values, keeping her baby eventhough it was a down syndrome baby. All these things... are really exposed here as nothing but a veneer. The hypocrisy is really stunning

I thought you told us you were disappearing ?

Heh.

Arianna is an idiot. And anyone who listened to Rush when he quoted Rahm Emmanuel, then completely eviscerated, him knows about this issue. I noticed no quotes from Limbaugh in your post. Pretty one sided. I'm sure you will continue to pant about this, but it is a non-issue for thinking people.

You might get a better audience in Mass.; after all, that is the "KENNEDY" state!!:rolleyes:

And if you consider Huffington anywhere near relevant, there's no hope for you anyway!

Bolded mine

Now this is one of the most stupid, play-ground level, comments I've read from the left. This just proves how desperate the libs are to "score points" against the conservatives - absolutely no sense of perspective or concern for truth.

Just another Palin Basher from Crabby!!!

(I do believe Crabby has replaced Bush with Palin.)

Crabby gets his leftist rump kicked in one thread...so he spams the board with other posts.

Typical. Cowardly, but typical.

And...when he begins to get a pasting here...he'll disappear, and show up with a post just like the OP in yet another thread.

We're on to him.

Crabtownboy, thanks for the post. Let's be clear, here. Sarah Palin DID call for Emanuel to be fired for his use of the word "retard". When confronted with the fact that Limbaugh uses the word regularly in the same way, the cat got her tongue. She is hypocritical on this issue. This kind of hypocrisy by her is the reason that she is not a serious contender for the Republican nomination--isn't now--never will be.

AND, Limbaugh's mean-spiritedness is the reason that someday, somewhere, a conservative Republican who gets the nomination will have to step up to the mic and tell Rush Limbaugh that he is being negative, cruel, and hateful and his kind of speech has no place among Republicans. As Christians, we know that it is sinful to personally insult other people because they are made in the image of God and it is doubly wrong to insult them by using a slang derogative term for people who are mentally challenged, because they are made is God's image as well.

SJ, did you hear Limbaugh use the word ?

Second, can Limbaugh affect the funding of programs like special olymics, and other programs aimed at the developmentally disabled ?

i'm confused. Did Rush Limbaugh use the word "retarted" or didn't he?

Yes. It was satire.

Rush Limbaugh: "Our political correct society is acting like some giant insult’s taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards. I mean these people, these liberal activists are kooks. They are looney tunes. And I’m not going to apologize for it, I’m just quoting Emanuel. It's in the news. I think their big news is he's out there calling Obama's number one supporters f'ing retards. So now there's going to be a meeting. There's going to be a retard summit at the White House. Much like the beer summit between Obama and Gates and that cop in Cambridge."

And here is Palin's supposed hypocrisy:

PALIN: "I agree with Rush Limbaugh. He was using satire to politically correct —"

WALLACE: "He used the “r” word."

PALIN: "He used satire. Name-calling by anyone, I teach this to my children and you teach it to your children and grandchildren, too. Name calling by anyone is just unnecessary. It just wastes time. Let’s speak to the issues and — [...]"

PALIN: "I didn’t hear Rush Limbaugh calling a group of people whom he did not agree with ‘f-ing retards’ and we did know that Rahm Emanuel has been reported, did say that. there is a big difference there. Again, name-calling, using language that is insensitive, by anyone, male, female, Republican, Democrat, is unnecessary."

Are Christians still trying to make the Republican Party a Christian party? Give up already!

Only that you are taking someone else's words for what he said. You are ignorant of the original quote.

That's all.

The original point is she cavedc in to Limbaugh. Would you be so forgiving if Obama had made the same statement as Limbauth?

Some more of your careful grammar work, I see.

And you will never hear Obama quote Limbaugh. Rush was quoting someone, and using satire. That point escapes the one-sided, hateful, ignorant rantings of the uninformed few.

Will you cut Obama as much slack as you want everyone to cut for Palin?

I never asked anyone to cut her slack. And She's not driving our nation to the poor farm. Don't be ridiculous.

Who said she was? Anyway, Bush beat her to that. Remember we had a federal budget surplus when he took office. He quickly turned that into a deficit and really went bananas after 9/11. Plus, it was under his watch the economy went south and under his watch the first stimulus money poured out driving us deeper into debt.
