    Well
Some in the Arminian "camp" tend to say that God has "leveled the playing field" by the act of the Cross, so that we basically have a 'clean slate" to come back to God, as he has reconciled us to Him in sense that the sin penalty was paid in full by Christ on the Cross...

And since God has 'decreed' that he will make it possible that ALL might be saved, that he works solely/only though EXTERNAL means today..

So IF the internal work is not done by God today, as the external only via Gospel/teaching/etc is sufficient...

Not "officially" Desist, but close as God has done all needed to at the Cross, now fully relient upon our taking the Gospel message out, and man needing to decide for themselves to come to Jesus or not!

God is ALWAYS in the buisiness of convicting and drawing people to Himself, through faith in Christ, through the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

the Father calls those He has purposed to give to His Son Jesus, those He had purchased by the Blood of the lamb, and He draws the sinner and convicts Him to receive Jesus as their Lord and Saviour...

Not drawing/calling ALL to repentance and faith in Christ, but those whom he has chosen to give to His Son.....
