Oh, I love the men and women in blue. I support them wholeheartedly.

Was this a mistake on this one cop's part? I think so. I don't know the rules of petitioning in that town. Was a permit required? If so, did the pride people have a permit?

I just can't make a blanket judgment call quite yet.

I don’t understand… this guy was arrested for what, quoting
1 Corinthians 14:33
King James Version

33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

So what was his crime… what is he being charged with?

This guy has a clear lawsuit. It was a public sidewalk.

The cop tells him, “let them have their day”.. In other words, the cop is telling him he was not allowed to read scripture while the pride folks protested.

Hope he sues and gets rich. The cop should fired. Clear abuse of power.

peace to you

'.... he claimed that he was within his rights to shout Bible quotes to the crowd gathered at the Pride event, officials have charged him with 'Disorderly Conduct to Engage in Fighting.'

What did Damon Atkins do? Pennsylvania man arrested as viral video shows him quoting Bible at a Pride event
So, quoting the Bible equals “provoking” people to fight?

Just to be clear anything other than “yes, please groom my kids for sexual exploitation” will be considered provoking a fight.

Yes, he was arrested for "disorderly conduct".

Apparently quoting 1 Corinthians is disorderly.

I support about half of them.

The ones I interact with are a mixture of good guys, and guys who think that everything looks like a nail and they're the hammer.

The Pandemic showed some of their true colors when they started arresting people for surfing, or playing on a playground with their kids, or in this case, for quoting the Bible.

What should have been said…..

…..After reviewing the video and body cam footage from the police officer we realized the city was guilty to civil rights violations so we decided to withdraw all charges and hope the citizen doesn’t sue….

But…. his civil rights were violated. His speech was suppressed because the cop didn’t like what he was saying.

And the city of Reading was such a nice & decent & wholesome place in PA to live in. That this happened there in particular troubles me. :UnsureI

In my sleepy town they are building in anticipation of NY city dwellers moving out to live in a bucolic area. Where we once had 5 cops ( who lived with us in the town) we now have 14 cops from everywhere. A friend in town was recently accosted by a heroine addict low life wielding a long handled sledge hammer, all on video. This cretin bashed in her door and then fled the Seen of the assault. The cops would not arrest him because they didn’t see him assault the woman. So why do we taxpayers even have them?
