With the massive coverage of the Pope's visit, I was interested in finding out how many on the board are following his visit and all the pomp and circumstance.

Nope To The Pope
I don't watch TV and my internet connection doesn't allow much streaming of news. Apparently he is being fawned over.
This guy is as liberal as-all-get-out. I really don't know if there is a mechanism for conservative Roman Catholics to remove him from that office. I wish there was a way for him to remove himself. He can voluntarily step down. Other predecessors have done so. But he just might be enjoying himself too much with his perks.

Obviously voted no, but for those of you keeping up with the visit was wondering if the clock boy got to meet the pope too? Wasn't sure of the timeline on everything. :tongue3:

The Pope keeps saying God bless America and the people eat this up. If the pope really had any insight with God he would know that America is not being blessed. This nation has turned it's back on God, and God will give us up to destruction.
I'm following it a bit, not too intently.
I appreciate this pontiff. He has a difficult road ahead but is, perhaps, the first step in massive institutional change that will benefit the RCC.
I pray for him often.

my head was in the sand for the past two weeks
I'm only interested because I was supposed to go to Philadelphia and help to share the Gospel with the Catholics gathered to see the pope, but I'm not able to do that now.
Otherwise, I'm avoiding it like the plague.
Ugggh...
I live about 30 miles from Philadelphia.
Our church sent out an email reminding people to consider alternate routes to church on Sunday because there're closing a busy road near us due to the pope's visit. (????)
And today I was detoured from my route home while the bomb squad checked out a rail road overpass.
Traffic's a mess and he hasn't even gotten to Philly yet.

While at some level, it is interesting, I think it is overrated.
Way over rated. The media is acting like God himself has made a visit to the East coast! It is nauseating. So glad he hooped on Shepherd One today and returned to the Vatican!
You should be aware that this whole area is full of Catholics and more of them are coming in from Central and South America .....I'm sure Papa Frank feels quite at home here....he is just shoring up his parishioners.
I watched part of him doing mass at lunch at work, and my main thought was how bad it is for all of those people who see him almost as being god, and whose hope is not in Jesus, but in that waffer and wine!
Having watched portions of every event, I marvel at how easily the masses are mesmerized by the god of this world. I am reminded of the account of Jesus coming to Jerusalem in His final days on earth: "Oh Jerusalem, Jerusalem; which killeth the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and you would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord."
Enough to make one weep: the lost being mesmerized by a wolve dressed like a sheep.
Are our lights under a bushel? It is long past time to repent and do the first work.
