Did you read the part that said about 1 out of 10 "Christian" bands is truly legit? Seems there are a lot of fakes out there.
It's wise to research and see if the so-called Christian artists even give a personal salvation testimony on their websites. I've found that most do not, and they speak in very general terms so as not to offend any certain denomination. I guess it's ok to get your musical inspiration and style from secular artists who dishonor God, as long as they somehow get the word "Christian" stamped on the album cover.
That's not good enough for me, though. I want to listen to music that brings honor to Christ, not the singer. Many CCM singers are treated more like rock stars than brothers and sisters in Christ, and that really bothers me.
