    3-days and 3 nights: from Fri. at 3pm to Sat at 3pm is 24 hrs or 1 day. From 3pm Sat. to 6am Sunday is 15 hrs or 9 hours short of 1 day.

    There are still 33 hrs missing in this window.

    This is another good example of unscriptural tradition. Christmas is another one--sheep and shepherds are not in fields on Dec. 25--it is much too cold. There were no wisemen at the stable at the nativity--they were many months away. Jesus was probably close to 2 years old--consistent with Herod having all males 2 and under killed.

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

    The author uses phrases like: these are possibilities--which require more study.

    If one uses Sunday morning(dawning--5-6 am in our time), when the tomb was discovered empty, moving back three days and three nights gets one to the Wednesday/Thursday of the week. This harmonizes with the multiple Sabbaths and the requirements of no crucifixions or burials on the Sabbath.

    Is it possible that Sun/Son-rise services are pagan idolatry?

    Now what? The seasonal merchants will suffer loss. Probably not.

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

    Biblical proof ...
    Exodus 19, NASB
    10 The LORD also said to Moses, "Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments;
    11 and let them be ready for the third day, for on the third day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people."
    This was the manner of reckoning by the ancients. In your scenario above, if I didn't want the wheat today, I would say "tomorrow," but if I used any cardinal number to describe more than one day, today would be considered the first day.
