I watch all three news channels and CNBC and Fox Business on occasion. I prefer listening to acoustic guitar music than watching the news; it's way more relaxing and enjoyable.

The problem is that CNN is not reliable any more and there are problems with all of the mainstream outlets. There is not that much news and so they have to fill the time with opinion and then the opinion because a controversy because it is generally leftist opinion. So if the only damage that an asteroid did was to knock out cable tv or kill all the lawyers as alexander284 suggests, it would not be so bad, huh? But I agree with those who say that this is nothing to worry about.

I don't understand the animus toward CNN by some posters. I would think MSNBC would be a much bigger issue for them. CNN is a blazing moderate outlet compared to MSNBC.

This is off topic but I think that it deals with the fact that CNN has a record of lying about Trump more than anyone else. Also, the CNN reporter was out of line when he refused to surrender the microphone to the young lady at a White House press conference. They showed total disrespect to the White House and they would not have done that to Obama. So now you have me hoping that the asteroid will knock out whatever satellite they use.

Even if 1 in a million chance, as the asteroid gets close, imagine all the people who will be extremely agitated and upset. It will be on the nightly news for at least one year, and the MSM will play this to get max eyeballs onto the screen for advertising dollars. And you know more time goes by, they will have a better understanding of what will happen. And I also wonder if they knew if it will hit, if they would not tell people until the very last hours.
