Asteroid Heading Towards the Earth

Even if 1 in a million chance, as the asteroid gets close, imagine all the people who will be extremely agitated and upset. It will be on the nightly news for at least one year, and the MSM will play this to get max eyeballs onto the screen for advertising dollars. And you know more time goes by, they will have a better understanding of what will happen. And I also wonder if they knew if it will hit, if they would not tell people until the very last hours.

You know, ya gotta love an OP about a one in a million hypothetical event followed by a mind reader that speculates on what the world will do if the 1 in 1,000,000 event doesn't come to pass...

The Left and Right gravitate toward being things they can express outrage about. I don't understand why someone, especially a Christian, would want to live that way, but, whatevs.

There will astroid/comet strikes during the tribulation. I'm convinced of it. The good news is, I won't be here.

Only if premillennialism/dispensationalism is somewhere in the ballpark of being correct eschatology. As an amillennialist I don’t think it is.

Huh? :Thumbsdown The astronomer, Bartosz Bałdyga, that your OP article is based on is the one saying it will miss the earth, not the news media.
he must be part of the coverup which was created to avert panic - the general public will not be told until the very end.

do a google on "apophis" then on "2029 asteroid".

Did so. Found this. Scientists aren’t scared. They see this as a great learning opportunity. Case closed.

“That asteroid, called Apophis, stretches about 1,100 feet (340 meters) across and will pass within 19,000 miles (31,000 kilometers) of Earth's surface. That might sound scary, but scientists are positive that it will not hit Earth. Instead, it's a once-in-a-lifetime chance for scientists to truly understand asteroids near Earth.“

Are we sure that this is not "wormwood" of revelation?

My answer is that it is not “wormwood”. I think the view expressed by William Hendriksen in “More Than Conquerors” is very good in explaining eschatology in a way that fits in with the Bible as a whole.

I think that will be a literal fulfillment at end of the Age!

Something to think about, at the beginning of creation God created the asteroid that will hit the earth as mentioned in Revelation. Think of the planning and foreordaining of God ahead of time. Or God creates a new one right at that time, less likely.
Because of some verses like this

Hebrews 4:4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”;

Acts 15:18 “Known to God from eternity are all His works.

Since God has rested from ALL HIS WORKS, everything that would be, was done, determined at the end of the creation week, and we are just walking it out.

In agreement is Psalm 139:16

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.
