You are welcome.John, thank you for the time and effort you have put into this discussion. I say this with respect and without any hostility. At this point, though, we are no longer discussing the text of Scripture. We are now discussing me, my motives, my honesty, my “philosophy,” and my supposed presuppositions. That is not a path I am willing to walk.
In seminary it was drilled in us that before we can study Scripture we first have to identify our own presippositions, our own worldviews...the things if left in the background will affect our understanding.
I admit that influences how I approach study. But I do not mean to force that on you.
I gave you my view of divine justice and the passages. Lets discuss them and other passages. Thus far you have not provided any passage that states what you believe. Instead you have reasoned out (philosophy) the passages stating what you think they teach.
Maybe if we stick to the actual text we can address my concerns in a roundabout way.
