Are you saying you need me to find the log you your eye? I am certainly aware of how far I fall short of being Christ-like.
Speaking to my perceived flaws in American culture, I have never understood monuments to those who advocated slavery.
Yes, many on the South side fought and died trying to defend what they thought was right. But that does not make it right.

The model for AJ was Nancy Green, (1834-1923) born a slave, who became a cook when freed. At age 56, she was asked if she'd like to be the model for a new pancake mix, to be called "Aunt Jemima", & she accepted.
She usually wore a kerchief when she cooked, both to keep her hair clean & to keep hair outta the food.
Her jolly, outgoing personality made her a hit whenever she made a live appearance as AJ to hawk the pancake mix, not to mention her ability to make great pancakes swiftly & in quantity. She continued to play AJ til almost the time of her 1923 death.
She was quite wealthy at the time of her death, & was one of the best-loved black women around. However, memory of her soon faded, as she had done her thing before radio or talkie movies.
If the name "Aunt Jemima" had come from an old minstrel song, few people knew about it at the time the pancake mix was launched. And Nancy didn't mind the name, or being called AJ one bit ! It made her rich !

After Timothy Gordon was fired from a Bakersfield Catholic school for saying that BLM is on the FBI terror watch list, it is possible that the left will fire people for eating Eskimo pies. Think what will happen if the Dems win with Biden--they will want the police back to form a police state and things like food brands will earn one a one-way trip to the gulag. The old America is gone with the wind, which expression offends HBO (AT&T). The Democrats are taking down statues of Republican heroes like Grant and Lincoln. It is an attempt at a French Revolution in the USA.
