Australians praise Gore's Nobel win

SOURCE Australian political and environmental leaders have been lavish in their praise for former US vice-president Al Gore and the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change for winning the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.


The leaders said Mr Gore's global leadership in raising awareness of climate change had been a significant effort to help preserve worldwide peace and economic challenges.

The Nobel Peace Prize committee recognised their efforts to spread knowledge about man-made climate change and working out ways to fight it.


Opposition Leader Kevin Rudd personally congratulated Mr Gore soon after the prize was announced......

I have to fight urge to buy the biggest piece of Aussie untouched rainforest I can find, then nuking it flat, stacking it with truck-tyres and coal and setting fire to that, then nuking it again in protest......If only I had the money y'all would be able to see it from there
