I am currently conducting research for a new novel about the afterlife. I would like many of my characters to be Christians from different denominations (including non-denominational).

To create respectful and accurate representations of Christianity, I would like to interview people whose faith background is similar to the characters I am creating. Interviews are conducted over the phone and usually last 1 - 2 hours. If you live in the Central Valley or San Francisco Bay area of California, an in-person interview may be possible. Interviewees would be expected to sign a release form.

I am particularly interested in interviewing Baptists, Pentecostals, and non-denominational Evangelical Christians. I am also interested in speaking with former adherents to Christian Science. I may make a call in the near future for Christians of other denominations.

The book I am writing deals with many different religions, not just mainstream Christianity. I know there are many ministries aimed at former adherents to Christian Science. One of the characters in my book was a follower of Christian Science who converted to Christianity. I'm hoping to find someone like that here who would be willing to speak with me.

God already provided a book about His Church: the Book of Acts. There is no fiction. This book records the history of the First Church plus many churches which sprang from the First Church. There has been a remnant of His Church in every generation. There have been martyrs in every generation even through today. Some so-called Christians were killing other Christians during the so-called Dark Ages. See exploits of the Jesuits and Holy Roman Empire.

Most religions found today are man/woman made without exception; i.e. Constantine, the Great and his mother Helena started what is known as Catholicism in the 4th century. Mary Baker Glover Patterson Eddy started Christian Science in the 19th century. Only one church can be traced to Jesus the Christ starting the First Church on the shores of Galilee, circa 30 AD. Jesus promised to never leave nor forsake His Little Flock. He has kept His promise.

There are many churches led by Satan out there. Beware of the wolves dressed like sheep.

Haaaaaaaaa! What a joke. Catholicism, or Universalism was around from the very beginning. There was but one Universal (Catholic) Christian Church from the get go. From the first century onward, the Christian Church evolved and it was led by Bishops who are collectively known as the Early Church Fathers. They were the one's who led the Christian Church and who decided Christian doctrines through the various synods and councils that were held periodically. They fought heresies that would come up from time to time and they decided which writings would make up the canon of Sacred Scripture that all Christians believed. Other than a few minor sects, all Christians looked to the Universal (Catholic) Church for guidance in their walk with Christ.

The Baptist faith tradition did not come about until the 1600's and was started by John Smythe, himself a former minister in the Church of England.

I sure hope our friend does not believe your lies and fantasies about the truth of the Christian faith here on earth.

Before there was grape juice and crackers there was water, wine, and unleavened bread and the resulting Body and Blood of Christ. That's the big one you folks miss, the most orthodox teaching from the very beginning.

Once you deny that, anything else you might say about Christianity is extremely suspect.

Make sure in the novel the Catholics have all gone straight to hell. Cause we aim to be jailbreak/crusader types.

If there is any religion minority we stick for the underdogs even Athiests.

In the things that really count, they are both right. I could attend the Divine Liturgy in an Eastern Orthodox church and it is basically the same as the Catholic Mass.

You can't do anything. You simply will not be able to have Holy Communion as the Scriptures has commanded.

So all of the brethren in the islands of the Pacific Ocean and many other parts of the world which have no grapes cannot have communion. There are words to turn the grape wine into blood but no words to make grape wine out of coconut milk? That seems an interesting quirk in transubstantiation. This is really not a problem until one tries to change the DNA.

Yes, this statement of yours is true, this point is not a trivial difference. There is no possibility that the East and West could be wrong as both follow the Christian faith as it evolved with the continuing belief in the sacraments. God would not have allowed such a lie to be propagated to so many people for so long a time.

New wine or old wine, if it is fermented from grapes it is called wine, anything else is called grape juice. When Jesus was going around preaching and he sat down to eat and drink, it was wine which he drank, a fermented beverage which contained alcohol.

Not into stereotypes and generalities. The Body of Christ does not do such things. Real Christians do not do such things. The world is filled with pseudo Christianity. Jesus never harmed anyone nor forced His religion on anyone. Real Christians are harmless as doves.
