I think that you did better than S&W, if you mean the M&Ps. Glock's triggers are much more consistent. M&P triggers are variable. One might have a decent one while the next is simply awful.

Now he needs a revolver. *laugh*

Side note. A friend of mine destroyed a Glock a few years ago. It was in .45acp. Evidently, the cartridge was double-charged (twice the powder in the case than normal). Very bad thing. It failed downward into the frame like it was designed to do, and he was not injured. If I remember rightly, Glock fixed/replaced it for him. That is the only serious problem that I know of personally.

Im looking for a 1911 (the grandaddy of Semi-Autos) FOR ME, not my son. Also looking to replace my old Ithica Lite & I want a 20G Side by side for skeet & upland bird hunting.....my brother has a Britney Spaniel we could use....but I still miss my Irish Setter --- What a great gun dog. also looking at a Chesapeake Bay--its versatile but I don't know if its any good at woodcock.....better in the water.

Ah, 1911 shopping.... A daunting task. There are so many manufacturers making so many models.

My own opinion. Colt 70-series slide models are best. :)

Not too many qualifications for vigilantes. :Biggrin
When we (allegedly) had them, we had 5 cops in town, almost no crime (in a town that supports a College) and a very well respected quiet community. Now we have 14-16 cops, Heroin is rampant, prostitutes, stabbings, shootings, car thefts & the town has reduced its population....go figure.
