My mom just went to a conference and heard him speak. She said he gave a great rebuke of the humanist spirit that has infiltrated the Bible believing church, and I also got a rebuke for sending letters primarily to the progressive churches and the cults, and avoiding the wolves in the Bible believing church whom have invaded. Well this is not entirely accurate as I have sent letters to Charismatics and emergents, but it is true I have dodged the seeker churches and or the churches that people like one poster on this board would endorse. Why? Because they state on their site to teach the essentials so I leave them alone, but maybe I do so in error and the false teachers have deceived me.

Anyone heard of Dr. Hocking and what say you of him?

So you got a rebuke from your momma over your rebuking, but the rebuke didn't pertain to the fact that you did rebuke, rather that you weren't rebuking those who really needed rebuking??

I am evangelizing and rebuking. The fact I also include messages on grace either in my letter or in a gospel tract, shows I am doing evangelism.

David Hocking was assistant pastor under J. Vernon McGee. I have attended two churches where he was senior pastor: Long Beach Brethren and Calvary Church of Santa Ana (not Calvary Chapel). He left the pastorate to serve as a professor at Calvary Chapel, Costa Mesa Seminary in Big Bear, California. He did some work on the New King James version.
He hosts the Biola Hour on radio. He is King James preferred. He did a series on Babylon during the first Gulf War.

Shouldn't we uphold what the bible teaches on babylon though?
