Isn't this why you have Sadie Hawkins dances -- so the girls can ask the boys out??
Where I grew up Baptists were condemned for going to dances. Baptist girls certainly didn't invite Baptist boys to dances. It would be more socially-acceptable for them to ask boys for a sexual tryst than to go to a dance. :tongue3:

Quite a coincidence Jim, I too never kissed my wife until we were married. :saint:

....of course before we were married she wasn't my wife. :tongue3:

My husband married his only girlfriend, and though I didn't technically ask him out, I did make my crush known. What can I say? I was irresistable.

To this day my Mother-in-law thinks dh fell for me because I could play chess.

36 years ago I asked my wife out, only to find out that she and her best friend were planning on how to let me know she was interested. I sure wish I had known that, because I would not have been so nervous about asking her out.

Edited: I found this out 5 years later, only after we had been married 2 years.
