Hi all.

I doubt anyone remembers me. I think I changed my username on here too a while back.

I recently have broke out of my old IFB doctrines and church and am currently seeing where God leads me. Been a wild ride for the past 4-6 months testing some of the doctrines I was mentored under for 5 years.

Would appreciate some prayer on that, looking forward to lurking in the forums.

All the best,

Have you seen the doctrines of grace as being biblical now?

Hi Gorship, lurk away. While the bulk of the posts here present views leaning toward Calvinism, other non-Cal views can be found. Study the Word prayerfully, starting with the assumption the Word means what it literally says. Or as someone said, if the Word makes sense, seek no other sense.

Agreed.
To me, that is the safest route and the one that I started out with over 40 years ago.

Gorship,

May you find edification here, and may God bless you richly.:)

What was your previous username? I want to see if I remember you.

No I would not consider myself aligned with tulip theology.
I am not a Calvinist, but only the doctrine of grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone is true. So I am not understanding your apparent objection to the doctrine of grace. Either one is saved and sure of heaven or one is not yet saved.

Apologies for any confusion, when I hear doctrines of grace I think of full calvinistic theology.

Thank you for explaining the distinction as to what you meant.

Your thinking is correct. The Doctrines of Grace is synonymous with Mongergistic theology, i.e. Calvinism.
