BAD AND GOOD JUDGMENT
Romans 14.1-23
This entire chapter Paul dedicated to very common and most debated issue since Christ appearance. It is how to serve and worship GOD. People understand Holy Scripture differently and some people bend, twist, altering, and misinterpreted purposely some of the Bible's writing in order to direct minds of the readers from GOD'S way of worship and service into their own way of doing it. Such alteration and misinterpretation of the Bible has its long history.
Revolts, disobedience, and ignorance against the Word of GOD - Torah and the Prophets, always constant and not only by the leaders of Israel and by wicked individuals but also and so call "Christians" today.
Jews who created their own rules and regulation in the service and worship of GOD and added to the Law many statutes from themselves. Christians following the same path creating their own systems, doctrines, and traditions of worship and service which are very far from original worship and service of GOD of which Jesus Christ teach and taught.
In this chapter Paul tried to reverse this wicked and evil habit of dishonest and deceitful people who are altered and change many things in the Bible by their own misinterpretation, and here Paul tried show the real meaning and the essence of the true worship and service in GOD based only on the true Spiritual Commandments of the Law and not on the Rituals, Doctrines, and Traditions of hypocrites, and wicked greedy clergy.
In this chapter Paul started from Faith and Judgment among Christians and reveal to us that not everyone of us has the same Faith and true Judgment. Paul previously wrote that GOD allotted to each of us a certain measure of Faith (Romans 12.3) and with Faith also comes understanding. So, according to that measure and level of our Faith in GOD and in His Commandments and Statutes, we love, worship, hope, judge, and service GOD.
While Paul said that we shall not judge one another, this means that we shall not just one another unjustly, means judge according to what Scripture said and specified and not judge according to assumption of men's tradition and doctrines. Justice and Judgment must be done only according to the Word of GOD and not according to mortal man.
We can and we must judge one another in order to save our brother or sister from wrongdoing, but our judgment must solely based on the Word of GOD and not on our own morality, perception, opinion, feel, or anything else.
Not only by GOD people will be judged but also some people will judge other people: (Matthew 12.42, 19.28) (Mark 4.24) (Luke 11.19.31-32.42) (Luke 22.30) (John 5.45) (Acts 7.7.24.27-28.35)
We are also must judge ourselves constantly in "sober judgment" in order to stay on the right path (Romans 12.3) with GOD. So, we can improve ourselves first and then will have right to judge others with the same Justice of GOD as it written in the Holy Bible.
The Holy Bible also is our court room and Rules of GOD'S Justice upon which we judge ourselves and others by the Justice of GOD, in order not to be Judged by GOD and receive condemnation and punishment.
Concerning the church, surely, we must condemn and punish appropriately any transgression, iniquity, injustice, evil, and perverseness, by convincing transgressed party to stop sinning, and if it does not work excommunicate and remove such individual from the assembly of the church (1Corinthians 5.1-5.12-13, 6.1-6, 11.26-32) (2Corinthians 2.6-8, 13.1) (2Timothy 4.1-2).
Our justice and judgment bust be righteous, make sense, and based on GOD Commandments, and not like in the case of eating a certain food that Paul presented here.
We must condemn and judge in the church any type of hypocrisy, deceit. lies, betrayal, false teaching, and everything else that do not belong to GOD and His teaching. We also may condemn and judge this godless world for its evil, bloodshed, and perverted way of living in order not to be like them.
Concerning judging what kind food to eat or not to eat food, this is only a small example of how to judge righteously according to the Statutes of GOD. In the Old Covenant GOD forbidden Jews to eat certain food and relate to a part of Physical Ritualistic Law of Moses, in the New Covenant this Statute no longer required due to enforcement of the Spiritual Laws of Moses by Jesus Christ but not forbidden.
So, those who still practicing the Laws concerning food practicing according to their Spiritual conscience, and this is not sin. The sin will appear only then, then someone ridicule or condemned such person who still practicing the Old Law, this person who ridicule a person for food sinned against his brother.
Indeed, in Christ this is no longer necessary but NOT FORBIDDEN! So, your judgment will be inappropriate and unfair if you pointed out to your brother or sister that their believe in food according to the Ritualistic Law of Moses is wrong, you made mistake by judging them unfairly and unnecessary.
This is also relating and to many other Statutes based on the Ritualistic Law of Moses, which shall be judged not by us but by the Moses (John 5.45) (Acts 7.35) himself and by GOD Who gave the Law. As it was written, those who are under the Law of Moses will be judged by the Law of Moses (Romans 2.12).
