I think you are attempting to deny we are "made" righteous, Romans 5:19. If we undergo the circumcision of Christ, was our unrighteousness removed, or was the righteousness of someone else imputed, declared or whatever? Ditto for "washing of regeneration.
If you think there is a biblical basis for denying we were "made righteous." please list a few (three or less) verses that teach your doctrine.

I do not doubt that in the conversion of a sinner to God they is a change that is wrought up his heart by the Holy Spirit. I do not doubt that when we are regenerated we are given new and holy affections. I do not doubt that we begin to be holy when we are saved. What I deny is that any of the changes wrought by the Holy Spirit in regeneration can be counted as any parted of our righteousness before God. What is the righteousness or whose is the righteousness that believers stand in before God? It is not our righteousness that we are justified by or that we are counted as righteous in God’s sight on the grounds of, but the righteousness of another is counted to us as our righteousness.
It is Christ who is the righteousness of believers. (1 Corinthians 1:30)

1 Corinthians 1:30 (paraphrase) Yet God caused all of you to be in Christ Jesus, who has become, from God to us, wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.
All I see here (1 Cor. 1:30) is after we were spiritually set apart in Christ, the result was among other things, righteousness. Thus we were made righteous, just as Romans 5:19 says. Again, once we are spiritually in Christ is where we undergo the washing of regeneration and the circumcision of Christ, thus when "in Christ" we are "made righteous" in God's eyes. You seem to deny that the removal of "unrighteousness" results in "righteousness."
No one is saying apart from being "in Christ" we are righteous. Only when we are set apart in Christ are we blameless before God. Only by being set apart in Christ are we redeemed. Being set apart in Christ transfers us spiritually from the realm of darkness (and unholiness) into the kingdom of His Son, in which there is no darkness at all. Our wisdom in Christ comes from the leading of our indwelt Helper, the Spirit of Christ.
In summary, when a person is "in Christ" they were made righteous, and without being redeemed (placed in Christ) no one is righteous for we all have fallen short of the glory of God.

But the text doesn’t say that we are made righteous by being in Christ, and then are justified by an inherent righteousness we receive by being in Christ, but says that Christ becomes our righteousness. It is Christ Himself who becomes the believer’s very righteousness.
I see nothing unbiblical in the Baptist Faith and Message on justification: “Justification is God's gracious and full acquittal upon principles of His righteousness of all sinners who repent and believe in Christ. Justification brings the believer unto a relationship of peace and favor with God.” (IV. Salvation, B.)
This statement is not a denial of the reality of the actual sanctification and the progressive growth in holiness and living to righteousness of the believer from the moment of regeneration. The same statement of faith, the Faith and Baptist Message says, “Sanctification is the experience, beginning in regeneration, by which the believer is set apart to God's purposes, and is enabled to progress toward moral and spiritual maturity through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in him. Growth in grace should continue throughout the regenerate person's life.” (IV. Salvation, C.)
Justification occurs after God credits our faith and puts us into Christ where we undergo the washing of regeneration. Thus justification and being made righteous are two names for the same thing. No verse says we "receive inherent righteousness" when we are placed in Christ. What verse says "Christ becomes our righteousness?"

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. This verse does indeed say we become the righteousness of God IN HIM.
1Co 1:30
But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,
Rom 5:19
For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.
Thus we are made the righteousness of God in Christ.

God up us in Christ, where we underwent the circumcision of Christ, the washing of regeneration, and were made the righteousness of God in Him.
All this "imputed righteousness" is not found in scripture, only in false doctrine.

Imputed is all in Romans Chapter 4. Might wanna read it. Its actually pretty cool and hopefuly for those of us trusting in Christ
James 2:23 says Righteousness was imputed to Abraham
If there is no imputed righteousness towards us, Jesus died in vain, as none here will get saved!
If I do not have that righteousness of Jesus Himself as my garment, i am stuck in my own smelly and rotting clothes!

All these posts are for one purpose, to hinder discussion of the thread topic.
1 "Whole man" apparently refers to the fact both our spirit and body are redeemed.
2) There is no salvation apart from God crediting our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
3) Regeneration occurs after God credits our faith and places us into Christ. Faith before regeneration.
4) "Commitment of the entire personality to Him" should read "commitment of our entire personality to Him."
5) Justification occurs after God credits our faith and puts us into Christ where we undergo the washing of regeneration.
6) Sanctification initially refers to God setting a person apart in Christ (the sanctification by the Spirit) and subsequently refers to our progressive sanctification where we are conformed to the image of Christ.
7) We are first glorified spiritually as a new creation in Christ, and will be glorified physically at our bodily redemption, so glorification is a two step process Romans 8:30, Philippians 3:20-21

Yet again folks, Y1 posts that we have been physically resurrected in glorified bodies. You cannot make this stuff up. Just read Romans 8:30, folks, those that God justified He also glorified. Have we been physically justified or spiritually justified?
