Barney Frank Present When Partner Arrested for Pot

The point of Fox digging up this non event? Someone didn't know about something?

Listening to the video link it seems that his presence at the arrest is just only coming to light.

So yes, it seems that someone didn't know about something.

Was there some sort of concerted effort to keep this a secret for a couple of years?

According to a police report obtained by MyFoxBoston, Maine police arrested and charged James Ready with marijuana possession, cultivation and use of drug paraphernalia. He pleaded guilty to civil possession and paid a fine. The remaining charges were dismissed last year.

Frank was not charged.

Frank is the author of a medical marijuana bill that would outlaw the prosecution of persons who use marijuana for medicinal purposes.
So his partner cut a sweet deal with the courts for hardly more than a slap on the wrist.
Maybe its not what you do but who you know? Eh? If this had been a poor kid or minority kid from a poor neighborhood would the penalty have been the same? Does his 'lifestyle' play a part as well as his 'connections' for the leinency?

Of people I have a hard time loving- BF would be at the top of the list. I don't see how people can continue to vote for a morally bankrupt politician.

BF is a disgrace to the human race. Yet the people in his district keep sending him back; speaks volumes about his electorate!

You make a good point: If people realized that who they elect for office is a reflection on their communities and their own values..... maybe they might start being more participative in this process of nominating and supporting candidacy and voting for their leaders:

If those who we elect are elected to represent us....... they are also a reflection of us and our values and corruption!

I will give a hearty AMEN to that.:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Also, remember that video of the guy talking to voters (pre-election) about the "0", and the shameful lack of knowledge they had of their "HERO"?

The one question I do remember is the interviewer asking several individuals if they agreed with the "0"'s choice of Sarah Palin for VEEP! Many were in total agreement with this & they though the "0" did a great job in picking somebody as well qualified as her!!!!!!

When idiots like this VOTE, is it any wonder that the nation is as sad as it is?????:BangHead:

Why would the Bush Administration cover up an arrest that involved Barney Frank?

For one...........Bush might be a gun slinger but he was never a mud slinger.

As for the 'cover up'....... seems I recall hearing a report of this on an alternative radio show..... but our controlled media didnot address this nor question BF? Either it wasn't considered news on the basis of being PC or because there are already too many perverts in media.

Or was it this "partner"
Unqualified home buyers were not the only ones who benefitted from Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank's efforts to deregulate Fannie Mae throughout the 1990s.
So did Frank's partner, a Fannie Mae executive at the forefront of the agency's push to relax lending restrictions.
Now that Fannie Mae is at the epicenter of a financial meltdown that threatens the U.S. economy, some are raising new questions about Frank''s relationship with Herb Moses, who was Fannie's assistant director for product initiatives. Moses worked at the government-sponsored enterprise from 1991 to 1998, while Frank was on the House Banking Committee, which had jurisdiction over Fannie.

>I don't believe that anyone said that it was the Bush administration that covered it up.

See below, from post #4. Then who? Fox News covered it up?

Again, I don't see where anyone said that it was the Bush administration that covered this up.

Then who covered it up?

Barney's buddies...

The local lapdog media...

The local police...

The local courts...

Some of the above...

All of the above...

I find it ridiculous that you think that the Bush administration would be the one's keeping it quiet.
